Asian Tour Qualifying underway in Thailand

Stage One Qualifying for the 2018 Asian Tour begins today with a total of 346 players from over 35 countries at four different venues across Thailand attempting to gain access to the Final Stage to be held in one week’s time.

The leading 30% of qualifiers at the respective venues will advance to the Final Stage where they will be joined by 130 golfers already exempt from the Stage One process.

Amongst the 346 hopefuls in action this week are 29 Australians and four New Zealanders including the runner-up at the 2013 US Amateur Championship and former West Australian Open Champion, Oliver Goss, former Australian Amateur Champions, Andrew Buckle and Andrew Martin, and runner-up at the 2016 Australian Open, Ashley Hall.

At next week’s Final Stage, contended over 90 holes, the leading 35 and ties earn the right to play the Asian Tour in 2018 beginning with the SMBC Singapore Open on January 18th.
