Asian roundabout continues in Jakarta

Jakarta, April 22: The US$750,000 CIMB Niaga Indonesian Masters begins this Thursday at the Royale Jakarta Golf Club.

Last week the Asian Tour joined forces with the European Tour in Malaysia, this week the European Tour is in China playing a co sanctioned event with the OneAsia Tour and next week the Asian and European Tours rejoin at the Championship event in Singapore.

This week's stand alone Asian Tour event has attracted Louis Oosthuizen of South Africa, Frenchman Victor Dubuisson (the leading world ranked player) and EurAsia Cup stars Thongchai Jaidee, Prayad Marksaeng of Thailand, Australian Scott Hend, India's Anirban Lahiri and Bangladesh's Siddikur Rahman as headline acts in the field.

Many Australians get their chance this week with Hend the pick although the likes of Kieran Pratt, the last two New Zealand Open winners, Dimi Papadatos and Jake Higginbottom, Andrew Dodt and Matthew Stieger are others who stand a chance of improving their lot in Asia.
