Many felt that when Ariya Jutanugarn won her first LPGA Tour title three weeks ago that it might herald the opening of the floodgates in terms of further LPGA Tour titles.

It appears that may now be the case with the 20 year old having won her next start at last week’s Kingsmill Championship and now, halfway through the inaugural LPGA Volvik Championship in Ann Arbor in Michigan, she again has the lead.

Jutanugarn leads by two over a resurgent So Yeon Ryu, Marina Alex and Christina Kim.

Minjee Lee is five shots from the lead at 6 under par and in a share of 8th position

Fellow Australians, Sarah-Jane Smith, Katherine Kirk, and Sarah Kemp all made the cut but are well back while last week’s runner-up to Ariya Jutanugarn, Su Oh, bounced back from a horror start but missed the cut by one.
