Gold Coast golfer, Karis Davidson, continues her steady progress on the Japan Ladies Golf Tour in 2019 with a 6th place finish at this week’s Chukyo TV Bridgestone Ladies Open.

Davidson, who is her second season on the Japan Ladies Tour, earned the equivalent of A$38,000 for her efforts this week and moves to 27th place on the 2019 money list.

The twenty-year old's final round of 66, including a final nine of 31, was the second best of the day, allowing her to finish four shots from the winner, Japan’s Minami Katsu, but just two shots behind second place.

After a slow start to her season in Japan, Davidson has begun to build momentum in recent weeks having now recorded five top twenties in succession including two 6th place finishes.

Davidson moved to the Gold Coast from Scotland in her early teens and has made steady progress since turning professional eighteen months ago.

Her best finish to date has been when runner-up at the Ladies European Tour's 2018 Vic Open.
