Andrew Dodt's rare feat on European Tour

Queensland golfer Andrew Dodt today achieved a unique feat in European Tour golf when he became the first player to ever record two holes in one in the same round of a European Tour event.

Dodt, playing in the second round of the Nordea Masters at Bro Hof Slott GC just north of Stockholm, began his round at the 10th hole and at the 11th he holed a 6 iron.

About three hours later he holed an 8 iron at the par three 7th hole, the 16th of his round.

For Dodt, the aces were his 8th and 9th personal holes in one and they were important as he needed both to just make the cut.

Dodt is playing on limited status on the European Tour this season having finished 118th on the Road to Dubai rankings in 2012. He has battled this year also missing seven of 11 cuts, his 17th place finish in Abu Dhabi in his opening event of the season being his only top 40 finish when he has made the cut.

Today's historic feat may well be the catalyst for Dodt to get things back on track in 2013.

Dodt has been a member of the European Tour since winning the co-sanctioned Avantha Masters in early 2010.
