Adam Blyth has extended his lead at the NSW Open at Stonecutters Ridge in Sydney’s west adding as third round of 66 to now lead by four shots over Victorian Peter Wilson with another shot back to the event’s leading world ranked player Rhein Gibson from Lismore.

Blyth is now on the edge of a second Australasian Tour title just two months after his first in a professional career that has spanned nearly twelve years and continues the improvement in his career results that has been evident for much of this year.

Like Blyth, Wilson is chasing his second PGA Tour of Australasia victory his other win coming four years ago when successful at the WA PGA Championship in 2012.

Gibson has played his first season on the PGA Tour this year and has lost that status but as a two-time runner-up on the Web.Com Tour in the few occasions he played there in 2016 he has shown the ability with which he is blessed.

He could yet be the biggest danger to those ahead of him tomorrow.

Former Queensland Open Champions Ryan Haller is not yet out of it, the Queenslander alone in 4th position and six shots from Blyth’s lead.

Amongst those sharing fifth position are recent two amateurs in Queensland Open winner, Brett Coletta, and Australian Amateur Champion, Connor Syme.

The scoring continued to be good over the Greg Norman designed layout with 27 players at 12 under or better through 54 holes.
