this is a good golf course and the green fee are very reasonable is good value for money, the course it self is challenging boast a number of longer par 4, and a few short tricky little dog legs this course reminds me a bit of a sand belt course one in particular would be commonwealth, there were a few little things that did disappoint me one couldn't be helped it was Easter weekend and didn't expect the greens to be mowed but i would like to see how the greens rolled after a fresh cut, secondly the bunkers were in consistence one would be hard and the next really soft, but the thing i hated the most was the water hazard on 14th and 15th, the whole course is has nice gums and Australian natives why would you plant palm tree around it they look stupid and for me wreak both of those holes why have one hole as a resort style hole it just dosent fit in with the rest of the course, but all in all i really enjoyed wanneroo, played bad and still enjoyed it wouldn't recommend it to a weekend hacker as it mite be a little to hard and as for the people that say all the holes are the same or boring open your eye yes there are a few dog legs, but there fairly challenging and keeped me more than interest. some of the par 3 maybe a little on the week side and could do with a little work but all in all i enjoyed it and cant wait to play there again i give it 4 stars

Having been a private member at Wanneroo G.C. for about two months now, Ive rapidly learnt that this track is definitely right up there with the best courses in Perth. It is no wonder that full memberships recently closed for 2007. As a low marker, Im willing to admitt that its trickier than the Vines (Lakes) course, that I played off the championship tees two weeks ago and also comparable to Mt Lawley G.C. in terms of its layout and character. Wanneroo is extremely well maintained and quite long (6196m), demanding length drives and accurate approaches into about five tricky par 4’s, the 5th, 6th, 7th and 12th and 13th, all are 360m+. The longer holes especially are well bunkered around their greens and also catch wayward drives off the tee. So at Wanneroo its also paramount to be straight if good scores are to be had. The fairways can be tight in lots of places and sneaking into the trees can result in doubles at a heartbeat. The greens are large, undulating, pure and true all the time no matter if the weather is wet or dry. I couldnt strongly recommend this course enough to players of all skill levels, Ive even had to change my swing to cope with the length of this track and I play off 5. The course gets the 5 Stars from me.
