Never played this course as I never knew it was there. It was only after coming back from The Cut a while ago I noticed the sign. Anyway decided to give it a try the following week and wasn't disappointed. Delightful setting with both the 1st and 10th holes with elevated tees and then having the greens on the 9th and 18th elevated to finish with in front of club house. Over all the course was a delight to play and in good condition and wouldn't hesitate to come back. Pity they don't do a lunch package mid week to match Secret Harbour and unfortunately didn't see a lunch menu to choose from but did manage to get a hamburger which was spot on. Only whinge was the barman on the day we played who didn't match the freindly staff in the pro shop.

I maybe biest at the best of times, but this course has all the fruit without the price tag. Firstly the outlook from the clubhouse over the course to the south / ocean to the west / town centre to the east has everything, you go downstairs to the proshop to be welcomed by Toby & Gary (Trainee & Pro) with a smile and your on your way. 1st hole plays longer than the card says, with an elevated tee, you need to be on the left hand side near the big oak tree to have a view of the green (a signature hole) The Par 5s are long ranging from high 400s to mid 500s The Par 3, well you have short, need your accruacy switched on, to long Par 3s equally 200m plus. The 4s are challengning with tight fairways and positioning the key. You need to walk the course first to see the layout and where you want your ball otherwise you will be adding strokes for "punch outs or lay ups" just to get to the green The Bunkers are fluffy and racked dailly. The Greens are the best in the area and on song best in Perth. If your in the area, forget the resort style courses play here. You can enter the weekly competitions (Mon-Wed-Fri-Sat-Sun) and enjoy the members also.

What a fantastic country course. I'd heared good things about it and these were enforced as I travelled around the course on a social day. The fairways were immaculate, bunkering very well presented and topography/undulations had everything. It had some great longish par 4's (namely the 2nd, 8th, 9th, 10th, 13th) and some good shorter ones (7th, 15th).The par 5's were a good test (namely the 4th and 18th - uphill ones). The par 3's are a good spread (3rd a shorter one and 17th a longer one at about 190m). There are doglegs, uphill and downhill, as well as some good straight holes. The greens were fantastic - large, undulating, and very true. I will definitely be back and it's etched into my top-6 courses in WA now.

Heard a whisper that this was one of the better courses around so I booked a time in the Sat comp. On arrival I found out it was Monthly Medal. Tees back, pins placed and greens slick! Not ideal for first time on a course. A quick practise putt and boy are they fast. The 10th is a great starting hole, eclipsed, as I found out later, by the 1st with it's elevated tee. And in between a true golfer's course. Nothing ridiculous just a decent challenge with everything as it should be. Perfect fairways, a good light rough, trees both picturesque and punishing for the wayward, greens fast, bunkers well placed and soft. Played in good company, whose pride in the course rated it from best in Mandurah at the start to best in WA by the end! A couple of long par fours to wind up on, shortish fives to maintain interest and clever threes to get the head shaking. Add to this perfect weather and friendly clubhouse for only forty-eight bucks including comp fees and a cart. Must return! The Relic.
