Geraldton enjoys sunny weather throughout the year with most of the rainfall coming between May and October, but even in this period two consecutive rainy days are uncommon. Our hottest period is between December and February, when it can be very hot, but even our hottest summer days are usually tempered by cool sea breezes in the early afternoon. In other words, Geraldton offers beautiful golfing weather all year round.

A good member's course with a par of 71 (rating 71) for men and 72 (rating 73) for ladies. Greens were in good condition, the fairways were well grassed and the bunkers had a good sand base and were in good condition. Off the fairways was a bit rough, but you aren't supposed to be there. Lots of big trees make some drives tight and you need to hit the fairway to score. An interesting layout, with some slight undulations, but easily walked. We played on a Monday morning and had the course to ourselves, so got around in about 3 hours. Green Fees of $33 for 18 holes is reasonable value for the standard of the course and, if you have come from the north, Geraldton is the first place with grass greens since Broome. (Kalbarri also has grass greens, but is off the highway a fair way). If you are in the area it is definitely worth playing.

One of Geraldton’s 2 golf courses, with grass greens all year round anytime is perfect to play (in summer it’s best to play early or late with daylight savings). This 18 hole course has it’s fair share of trees, bunkers, rough and bush. Most of the holes have wide fairways but a couple of the par 3’s are narrow with overhead trees.
