For the golf courses lucky to feature a short par-three on their layouts, it's the little one-shotters that are often among their most original and favoured holes.

Rossdale Golf Club is a picturesque bayside course weaving through corridors of pines, eucalyptus and coastal banksias. A lush kikuyu course in the tradition of famous Riviera Country Club in Los Angeles where magnificent poa putting greens blend smoothly into the surrounding landscape.

The layout is quite challenging for all levels of golfers with numerous bunkers and water hazards framing a collection of distinctive holes. A real design feature is the variety of distances on the par threes which puts a premium on iron play throughout the entire bag. The approach to the seventh illustrates the strategic element with approach shots needing to avoid a lake short and right of the three-tiered green.

Wow hasn't this place changed. Played there for the first time in just over a year and didn't recognise the place.  Think they have a new super who is really turing up the heat. Shorter course but plays a bit longer due to the ki fairways.

Fun course.

Dead flat but fabulously lush couch grass fairways make it a joy to play.

A few nice tree lined holes.

Bunkers could use some better sand.

Played 21/1/14 and found it to be a pleasent playable golf course. The rough was not very heavy so there was no 5 mins searching for wayward balls. The greens were in very good condition and are generally of a medium size with gentle playable slopes. They play quicker and break more than they look and feel. Tee boxes were level with good grass coverage. Fairways patchy in a few places <5%, but were very good otherwise. Some Green surrounds were a bit rough and uneven, and the bunkers were generally unkempt. A good course to dust off the cobwebs, and have any enjoyable/slightly easier yet still challenging round. Tree lined fairways and extensive green side bunkering make you have to play almost all types of shots

Played recently on a Saturday and the course is in great condition. Challenging but fun. Pro shop staff very helpful and friendly. I was impressed with the great camaraderie from all players and the tremendous social atmosphere after the game.

last visit June 2007 & was pleasantly suprised by all the changes especially to the new clubhouse...absolutley fantastic. The course , i believe was inundated earlier in the year by floods and after seeing photos of the devastation, it is remarkable at how good the course is at present. The changes to many of the holes by way of mounding, the introduction of the "burns" and the shaping of the fairways with tough kikyu rough has made this a very challenging par 72. Congratulations to all associated with the changes...i will definetly be back & maybe as a member.

Played here a few weeks ago and was extremely disapointed. Had booked a social group in and decided to have a look at the course before hand. I am glad I did. The course was an absolute disgrace. Some fairways were underwater, bunkers in shocking condition and yet they still had the nerve to charge us $50 to play. Even if the course was dry, the layout is very uninspiring with many straight holes with no bunkers and very little imagination in the design. It did have a few short par 4s with some interesting designs but it would fit in better with your $25 public courses rather than your private courses charging $50 a round. I'm glad I tried it as I headed to the office and cancelled our social group booking.
