Mornington Golf Club is in the heart of Victoria’s famed Mornington Peninsula. Standing on most tees, the view across the bay to the city is breathtaking. Fairways are lush Santa Ana Couch grass, offering near perfect lines. Greens are fast with subtle breaks, so get your line right.

Whether you’re enjoying the ultra-modern club house or shopping in the trendy streets of Mornington, sampling superb Peninsula wines, relaxing on the beach or putting for par, this place has it all!

The Caddyshack Bistro and the Mornington Golf Club Function Room make the after game as enjoyable as the golf.

Having read some recent posts I decided to play MGC. Note: it is NOT a 'sandbelt' course (neither is Devilbend). People don't understand the meaning. Second, if you can play 'greens in regulation' go on Tour. (PAR means Professional Average Round). That's what handicaps are for. I played with a visitor from the UK - he was (is) in awe of the fairways and scenery, in spite of shooting 20 over PAR. There was some casual water, but golf is not an indoor sport. The amenities are super, and my friend had a subsequent lesson from the obliging Pro Michael ?

Was not impressed with the reception at the pro shop. The one staff was 'Stoned/poker face' and gave an impression we are intruding. The course is in terrible condition as most shots requires PREFERRED lie. Gave up after 11 holes when rain came. Though it is in SAND BELT but the fairways were un-fair !

I find this course suits everyone from beginners to the more advanced player. The wide fairways are forgiving yet challenging with the right to left slopes on a few of the holes. We had the pick of the days with a gentle breeze and fine conditions. Loved the view from the 7th hole.

Played Mornington a beautiful day with barely a breath of wind. The course was amazing. Greens were a bit longer than they could of been but apart from that the course was in great condition. The views from the course are amazing and it was a pleasure to play. Would recommend it to anyone.

better than most public courses, but it is certainly not one of the best private courses out there on mornington peninsula. $25 for a round is quite attractive.

A very picturesque golf course right on the coast. Was lucky enough to play here two days ago when it was sunny and barely a breath of wind. The course is very hilly, so a cart is advisable. Tee'd off at 8.30am, some of the holes were almost unplayable as you could hardly see the fairway amidst the glare. For first timers, the combination of sloping fairways, blind crests and well placed bunkers around the green will be a great challenge. As noted by an earlier reviewer, the greens all seem to break towards the water, regardless of what it may appear! Overall, its better than most, and the very reasonable green fees do attract (justifiably) a lot of people. Definitely an enjoyable but equally challenging course.
