Eagle Ridge Golf Course

Eagle Ridge Golf Course began it’s life as the smaller Carlogie Golf Course until March 1988 when an additional parcel of land was purchased, earthworks commenced and a new Kevin Hartley designed championship course began to emerge, opening as Eagle Ridge Golf Course in December 1989.

In 1999, Pacific Coast Design was commissioned to design a five year Master Plan for course improvements and the design and construction of our magnificent Clubhouse commenced.

The Clubhouse opened to great acclaim in October 2000 and, under the careful management of our Golf Course Superintendent Scott Balloch, the course Master Plan was completed four years later.

Very benign with little to no wind. Greens slow but generally true. Fairways mostly quite lush and even. Only a few interesting holes otherwise quite dull. Watch out for the pro shop. They'll take your comp fee and then not put your card into the GolfLink system.

Had not played here for a few years, the changes that have been made are fantastic, opening up some of the fairways, the clearing of scrub and the pandanas grasses from a lot of areas make the course much more playable.  The condition of the fairways, tees and greens was impeccable.  Probably the best on the Peninsula at the moment.  Staff were also very friendly and helpful.  Oh yeah and the cart fleet is brand new.  Will be playing here many times over summer.  Great Track!!!!

Great course with the winter deal with free buggy. Despite the competitive green fee, the course and green was in good condition. The bunkers were well raked and had lots of sand. Layout was fun and on the easy side. A fun day out on a nice sunny day.

Don't know what's happened of late, but this course is in anything but great condition. Looks sadly neglected. Perhaps there may be some renovations going on? In any case, the fairways at the moment are terrible, dead and dying patches of grass, sand all through the fairways and some do the greens have weeds present. I won't play here again.

Have played this course multiple times lately and enjoyed it every time. The afternoon rates are really good at the moment however the normal rate seems a little steep comparing to the price and quality of courses nearby. Also is a hard course to walk Great layout with a variety of holes. Is always in great condition apart from the few really hard and dry bunkers but that's hard to avoid at the moment with the heat.

If/when the greens are good, this would be worth every penny. The day we played (mid June) had been a pretty dry few weeks and we expected tip-top condition. The majority of the course provided that, apart from the greens. Furry, quite bumpy and made putting a lottery. Speed on longer putts was completely guess work. The layout is great. The 3rd is an absolute brute, especially into the wind. Anyone making par or better there deserves a pat on the back. Premium on hitting the fairway most of the way around, which is how golf should be played. Unfortunately, greens are often what leaves an impression and these were not good, nor particularly acceptable even for a public track. With the lack of rain, should have been better. Speed of play wasn't great, but that is to be expected from a public track and by no means was unacceptable. The clubhouse offers a great spot to sit outside with a drink and watch following groups try to navigate 18. If I was assured the greens would be in better nick, would definitely come back.
