Can't really fault it for the price. Fairly well maintained at the moment and in better shape than some of the 'members' /Private courses around the west. The greens were a bit long when I played last week but the fairways weren't as dry as up the road at Sanctuary Lakes. Very basic pro shop which could use a much needed revamp. The newer function area serves up a very nice meal after a round. Don't get a buggy if you dont need it. Walk the course and enjoy it.

The course itself is is very good condition but the price is a little high for a public course, ($25 mid week  for nine no matter what time). If you want to play a few hole after work its a bit expensive.

But what really pissed me off is the two times I have been there I wanted to hit a few balls ($15 for a large bucket) and after 20 mins told the range was closing and I had "exactly 3 mins" and I still had most of my balls.  One time it was 5.30pm and a week later it was 5pm. No refund the first time but the second time I was not leaving without my money back.  Why sell balls at 4.30?? Are you supposed to hid a ball every 10 seconds? Not happy with the way I was spoken to so I wont be back.

Played here last Sunday for only the second time and found Werribee Golf Course to be in great condition especially the quality of the greens,& their surounds, particularly the thickish rough around the greens & traps. Even though I only played out of one bunker it had plenty of sand & was well maintained. The greenskeeping staff obviously have plenty of pride in looking after the course. Holes that I liked were the 354m par 4 2nd, 496m par 5 4th, 395m par 4 5th, 354m par 4 6th, 175m par 3 8th, 493m par 5 11th, 130m par 3 15th, 533m par 5 16th & the 189m par 3 17th, all testing holes especially when the wind got up! The pace of play was good for our group of 3 & for just $40 for a round & only 25 mins down the highway it's excellent value and worth playing if you haven't ever played Werribee Golf Course.

Played here on Sunday 30th September. Course was in great nic and could not have had a clue about the rain the 2 days prior. Greens were consistant with some real challenges to be had with a few hidden breaks on some of the greens. All that being said apart from the par 5 4th, Par 3 15th and the par 4 18th I found myself rather bored of the par 4's mid course that seemed rather repetitive. The par 3 15th was a standout memorable hole and easily the best and most difficult par 3 I have played on a public course at this price point. Protected front left and right with deep bunkering and also a large bunker rear right leaves a safe option long left of the greeen which has a marked downhill slope towards this area. With the pin rear right of the green this made any effort out of the bunker very difficult and I saw 2 groups in front of end send a runner of the other end of the green. The wind conditions are also highly variable with the hole protected at low level due to the cliff running along side however a higher shot was severly affected by the wind coming from the right. Would return however more interesting golf can be had closer to home on the Bellarine at the same price point - Curlewis and Portarlington instantly come to mind.

I have been playing here quite regularly of late and normally get a game in here every couple of weeks. My first impressions of ther course was that it was quite long but after playing a few times I have become used to it. Despite the course length you can still get around here in under 4 hours when playing on your own. I very rarely get held up by other groups here. The first 5 holes and the last 5 holes are the best on the course with the middle section being a bit repetitive. The middle holes could use some fairway bunkering to make them a bit more interesting. That said though for the price range I would rate it as one of the best as the course is not over run and is in a very picturesque location. The highlights: 4th hole par5 is my favourite. A nice elevated tee shot with a strategically placed tree just to the right of the fairway. A birdy can be had here with a couple of good shots. The 16th is also a ripper of a hole. A 533m par 5 with a great big tree in the middle of the fairway. The course finishes well too with a shortish par 4 that has you asking questions of yourself on the tee. Either lay up with a long iron to fall short of the bunkers or take on the cliff on the right hand side with your driver.

Played here the other day and i must say this course is in very good condition. The course is not a world beater by any means, however it is a nice and well conditioned layout. The course is rather straight with not many dog legs or suprises along the way. One thing I will say is that this course is rather long, with one of the par 5's being 533m long. The par 3's are all around the 150m mark with a few bunkers along the way. With the amount of rain we have had of late this course is very green, yet it is still quite hard underneath which leads me to believe that once the rain dries up this course will dry up rather quickly. I would recommend this course to people, however if you have to drive a distance to get here I would say there are better courses around
