Played today for the first time. Greeted in the proshop by a very friendly chap who was very obliging and informative. I was very impressed with the presentation of the course. Lush fairways, bunkers were immaculate and the greens were true. The course isn't overly long but the thick fairway grass means you don't get excessive roll on the ball, offsetting some of the shortness. The course has wide-ish fairways but every fairway is heavily lined with trees making recovery shots tricky. There are also plenty of fairway bunkers ready to catch any wayward shots. Some of the holes are, in my opinion, genuine top quality holes- thinking the par 3 8th and the long par 4, 14th in particular. In my opinion, those two holes wouldn't be out of place in Melbourne's sand belt. A very enjoyable course, especially considering the smallish block of land, and the fact that the ground is basically flat.

Purchased the scoopon for this course, $25 for 18 holes. Was fantastic value, greens were immaculate! fairways are a bit thick but it did not dampen the course. the only thing that did were the group playing behind us, ill-mannered bunch of yobos who kept screaming. good day none the less.

Nice course but fairway grass was a little thick which made pushing buggie a little bit hard. Overall nice experience, except for the old guy in the pro shop who was very arrogant. Green fee are normally $50 but because we were using golf passports, they put the price to $60. I overheard him say, 'we're making it cheaper, not giving it away'. Go play at Medway, more friendly and welcoming.

A really good flat course.

I also play regularly at the course. The changes they have made are a positive – particularly the 2nd, 14th and 15th.

The course is not overly long – usually get around between 3hrs 50min to 4hrs 15min which is great, although challenging enough

Course is on a sandy base (being near Altona beach) and fairways are usually in good condition given the weather conditions. Appearently the club has everything in place for grey water and are waiting on City West Water to finalise the process – which will provide even better playing conditions

Clubhouse is very nice – with members bar, bistro area and general public bar with TAB and pokies

I play this course regularly with a mate of mine who is a member there. It is a great local course, the new course changes are fantastic, the only downside at the moment are the greens, they are patchy and inconsistent in the way they roll.
