Just played the tournament on 10/11/18.
Course was in great condition. Set on the side of a hill it is a challenging walk without being exhausting. Poa greens rolled well but were very challenging with a good amount of break. Tree lined fairways can be tight and present a challenge off the tee. Some amazing views from the higher holes including the 8th tee box. The hospitality in the club was great. Amazing food after the round.
Not many people know about Camperdown Golf Course, but it is one
of the nicest places to play golf. The location is 5km from town
southwards between to inland lakes and is quite hilly. Despite
this the walking is not too taxing because many of the holes are
constructed across the slope. You eventually arrive at the 8th
the highest point on the course with one of the lakes in the
background. A superb golf hole. The par is 72 but the course is
only around 5600m. The greens could be better and there are few
bunkers. The fairwaya are buffalo grass on many of the holes. The
condition of the course is ok, but if it was better it would be
rated very high because of the unique location. Judge for
yourself if you play it sometime.
