Played here today. Bit of a stumble through the houses, but the sneak peak of parts of the course looked promising. Cut to the chase. The course looks good. All in very good condition. However everything else looks very tired. It looks much older than 10 years. The proshop if you can call it that, is almost non existent. The pool is green and doesn't look much used. Could not get much out of the guy at the proshop but it looks like they are 'saving money' buy not spending it. Scoupon voucher made it worth the drive.

What a fantastic layout for a golf course. Something for everyone, especially the back 9. Undulating fairways (probably best to have a cart), consistent greens and four tee off's over water. The 18th is an absolute picture hole with the island green! BUT, last week we called to see the state of the course and were told it was 'very good'. Rolled up to play with no rain since our call, to discover that carts were not permitted, preferred lies to be taken on every fairway, and no play from any bunkers allowed! Totally unacceptable, given we had checked first with the pro-shop earlier in the week before booking!

Played today in the winter. Course was a little boggy in places. Bunkers were considered GUR today, but felt they never really posed a threat. I felt the course was interesting to play and challenges at all levels. Next time I play, at least I'll have a better feel for ball positioning. The 9th + 18th are great fun. Island par 3's. Good to have a crack. 17th hole was my favourite with the tall trees on either side of the tee as you drive.

I played the course yesterday in their pro am for the first time. I had heard good reports about the course so expectations were high. Sadly the course did not completely live up to these expectations. We started on the back nine, which has some picturesque holes, but the grass coverage on the fairways was not as good as I would expect from a course that I have heard good reports about. There also needed to be a little bit of maintenance done on ensuring divots were filled prior to the pro-am being held. The greens were of a decent speed, but sadly there was a lot of marks on the greens which made them unsightly and also bumpy. Add to this the fact that the bunkers were very hard and had very little sand in them made it difficult to play a well judged shot from the bunkers. The layout on the front nine is not as impressive as I had hoped, with a number of flat holes and flat greens. With all the land at their disposal I would have expected the hills and slopes to be used to more effect around the course. I would say that the holes that have water around them are nice challenging holes and the 13th is a great hole from the black tees across the water twice depending on how far you hit your drive. As other reviewers have posted, the 18th is a great gold hole, 160m from the black tees to an island green in a very stiff cross wind yesterday. Nice way to finish your round of golf providing you are hitting it okay. All in all, a nice walk and some nice holes, but nothing to rave about in my opinion and plenty of courses closer to Melbourne for the same sort of cost but more challenging.

Played last week for the first time. Looked over the first fairway and was immediately worries, grass was an off white colour, absolutely baked from the sun. Surprisingly, the fairways were in great nick other than the colour. The course is an interesting layout with some fantastic holes. The island 18th is wonderful, what a way to finish a round - you will not leave until you put one on the green from the tee. The greens however, some of the worst I have putted on. Greens are supposed to have slopes, not mounds. The greens have little mounds all over the place meaning you never get a flat surface even from 3 feet.Ruined many holes for me, pars became bogeys, bogeys bacame doubles and so on. very frustrating. Would not return because of this, would be back no worries if these were fixed.
