Our Bendigo golf course is considered by many as Central Victoria's best kept golfing secret. It is etched into the Big Hill ranges, just a short drive south from Bendigo off the Calder Hwy, approx 3kms from Lansell Square, Kangaroo Flat.   If travelling to Bendigo from Melbourne, keep an eye out on the left hand side of the Calder Hwy for a couple of Bendigo's local winery's signs along with the golf course sign.

The club was established in 1947, spending its first 50 years as a sand-scrape course but in 2000 it was officially opened after the course was converted to grass greens.  It is lushly grassed with contoured fairways and large greens.

It boasts a well stocked Pro Shop and Resident Pro with a large range of carts available for hire. A challenging but rewarding course for the beginner right through to the expert golfer. The signature hole is the Par 3 11th that has breathtaking & sweeping 360 views of the Big Hill ranges.  The course has some gentle hills but can be easily walked with hand held buggies.

Come visit for a round.

Played this course for the first time, after a long dry summer, so wasn't expecting the condition to be great. I was pleasantly surprised. This was a terrific course for several reasons. The whole course was lush & aesthetically pleasing. The bunkers were good & the greens were very tricky, fast & consistent. A great test of golf tucked away in a great bit of country. Well done to all involved!

Quite surprised there hasn't been a review of Belvoir Park in several years, so time to fix that. I have been a member at Belvoir since early 2014, plus I've played most other courses in the Bendigo area since my foray back into golf at the start of 2014. Belvoir Park is a Par 70 golf course (5 par 3's, 3 par 5's) and is surely the most picturesque golf course in Bendigo (located in the Big Hill ranges approximately 10 km's from the CBD). There are several stunning parts of the course where you can stop and see around you several km's of beautiful surrounding bushland (specifically around holes 10-12). This results in the course being quite undulating in various places, however it's something I don't really notice having played here many times and is not a big issue. In my opinion, the front 9 plays more difficult than the back 9, however both the front and back have their moments of giving you a bit of a break but also providing a true test of your skill. Beware the opening set of 4-5 holes - I affectionately refer to these holes as our own version of "Amen Corner". The first 4 holes have Out of Bounds on your right, so try to prevent from hitting that fade/slice. If you keep your wits about you early, you'll be well positioned after this set of holes to post a reasonable score! My favourite holes have to be the 3rd (a shortish par 3 but beware missing right and a bunker is lurking on the left), 7th (short par 4, gives players an option to go all-out or play conservative), 14th (dogleg par 4, watch the huge rock feature in the middle of the fairway) and 16th (another par 3 that just has a nice look to it). Like any course in the region, the Summer months can be brutal but Belvoir is quite well conditioned and a huge downpour recently has helped freshen up the course. Just don't expect lush grass everywhere and you'll really enjoy your round here. I've never had an issue with the greens, either - always well-presented from my experience. I'd rate Belvoir Park the second best course in the Bendigo area, behind only Neangar Park (I haven't played a round there recently though) but well ahead, in my opinion, of Bendigo GC and Axedale GC. Belvoir Park is a true test of your golf game - I'd highly recommend a visit if you're in the Bendigo area.

Belvoir Park measures 5534m Par 70 with five par 3s ranging from 143-189m, ten par 4s ranging from 283-384m and three par 5s ranging from 449-482m. Course had sand scrapes until 2001 and now boasts medium-large sized bent grass greens with poa in some greens. The Santa Ana couch grass fairways has a mixture of couch and rye grass rough amongst the medium sized tree-lined fairway layout. The teebeds are a mixture of winter rye grass and couch grass as are the green surrounds. In terms of hazards with the exception of the 321m 15th (index 8) all greens are bunkered with a total of 33 bunkers on the course. There are numerous storage dams on the course, but they are not in general play, and in total can hold approximately 40ML. The course also has an allocation of water... Highlights include: the 380m slight bend right 2nd (index 2) with a fairway which slopes left to a green with 2 bunkers; the signature 147m 3rd (index 17) to a 25m long 2-tier front-sloping green which plays gently uphill over a small gully which is guarded by 3 bunkers; the 173m slightly downhill 11th (index 13) to a green with 3 bunkers; the 361m 12th (index 5) with an elevated tee above the fairway which bends slightly to the right to the longest green on the course at 30m long which consists of 50% poa and 50% bent grass and is guarded by 3 bunkers; and the 384m straight 18th (index 1) to a green guarded by a bunker short left. The layout is not heavily tree-lined with fairways wide enough to navigate a decent scoreafter the first 6 holes you return the clubhouse, then play 7-9 back to the clubhouse, then the 10th is near the maintenance shed about 150m from the clubhouse and the 18th finishes behind the carpark at the clubhouse. Despite not being the longest layout, Belvoir Park is probably one of the more challenging of the 6 layouts in Greater Bendigo (others being Axedale, Bendigo, Eaglehawk, Heathcote & Neangar Park). The front nine is shorter but more bunkered than the back nine. The par 3s on the front nine (at 3, 5 & 8) play uphill to the green whilst the back nine par 3s (at 11 & 16) play slightly downhill. The par 4s are varied in length but play somewhat straight with half of the flags visible from the tee. Played here 26/09/2012 with $20 green fees 7 days a week. Course access is from Belvoir Park Road about 15km south of Bendigo's CBD. Belvoir Park is one of SIX 18-hole grass green courses within the Greater Bendigo area which has around 100000 people. Belvoir Park is approximately 280-300m above sea level with the highest point on the course being the 11th tee.

Recently checked this course out to see if the grass greens and rye fairways had come up and what a surprise. Absolute little gem of a course which deserves a higher rating than 2 star. This course in my opinion is a far better layout than other courses in the Bendigo area. Definitely worth checking out this course as it is a delight to play and one of the most unknown hidden gems in country Victoria.

Belvoir Park has recently converted to greens. It is situated in a valley and is an excellent location, peaceful with lovely views. The course's fairways were very dry when l played it.Some of the holes on this undulating layout were excellent in design. If the drought broke and rhe fairways improved this course would be excellent.
