The inaugural meeting of the RAAF Laverton GOLF CLUB was held on 20th May 1965, chaired by Squadron Leader R Heathcote, Commanding Officer No 21 Squadron.

The 1st official competition golf played at RAAF Laverton was in February 1970, a one off match between senior officers attending an industrial mobilisation course.

The course opened in mid-March 1971.

The course itself has nine grass greens and 18 tees, a practice green and a grassed practice driving range.

Played in the club comp here yesterday. It was a bit of a process in firstly contacting the club via email, then arranging a guest pass with on course escort the whole way but it was entirely worth it. The course itself was in good shape after a long extended Summer & had plenty of interesting features for a 9 holer played twice. The main thing that I was impressed with, was the hospitality & friendly atmosphere that came with the day. It was genuine & greatly appreciated.

The course is a nine green golf course with 18 tees.

This very tough course has alot of challanges with there small greens and narow fairways. The course has seen alot of changes over the years with there green keeper Mark Finlay keeping the course in fine nick.
