Queenscliff Golf Club provides a unique Island setting with fresh air, natural beauty and tranquillity. A friendly vibrant Golf Club surrounded by natural habitat. The absolute beauty of the course and its’ environs is not lost on the Golfers, as it changes with the time of day, the light, the sea breezes, and the change of seasons.

The big advantage of having a course built on an Island made up of drifting sand, is that the course is a true All Weather course. Regardless of heavy rain, you’d need to step into Swan Bay or a water hazard to get your feet wet.

The tranquillity is only disturbed by the train whistle from the Bellarine Steam Train and local birdlife. Significant birds found on the Island include the Orange Bellied Parrot, the Royal Spoonbill, Magpies, Plovers, Swans and Pelicans.

The club offers a range of snacks & drinks for after your unforgettable round. It also provides a well stocked pro shop. We encourage visitors to dress in smart casual attire with appropriate footwear.

We are also flexible and open to discussing group booking discounts.

This course has a bit of everything! Nice fairways, fast greens, bunkers, trees, undulations, water, kangaroos & the tranquility of being on an island!

It is so quiet & peaceful & you can lose yourself in the experience. Really enjoyed the whole course & friendly atmosphere in the clubhouse. Well done to all at the club. You have a real gem!

Played here late March 2014. Course was very dry and patchy. Had difficulty getting a good lie. Overall can't complain given the summer we have had. Bunkers was good and there was enough sand. Layout was challenging especially the back nine and can be especially tough when the wind is blowing. Has potential to be a great track. Will be back.

Really enjoyed Queenscliffe Golf Course but had trouble finding it. We were quite surprised it was on an island and had a security guard at the bridge. The course was a real challenge requiring accurate tee shots and precise iron play. The numerous bunkers come into play and you need to factor these into shot selection. We will be back to improve on our scores!

I played here on Monday. While not hilly, the fairways do have undulations meaning you have to place the ball in the correct spot, and deep bunkers with good sand will catch a wayward approach shot to the green. Well placed tees mean the greens are sometimes hidden, but all is revealed further down the fairway. The course was generally in very good condition, but I understand roo's are becoming a pest on the island and they have left a few marks on the greens and they don't rake the bunkers after themselves. A fine day with very light winds meant a very pleasant day out, but it does get windy down this part of the world, so be prepared for some fun when the wind gets up. The staff were friendly and helpful and I would have no hesitation playing this couse again.

Played the front 9 here yesterday & I loved it. The fairways are undulating, there's beautiful scenery, lots of kangaroos & other wildlife. Interesting access to the course past the army security gates and over the bridge, you feel privileged to play there. The course isn't in it's best ever condition so don't go expecting gold star quality, however if you're in the area it's definitely worth a look. Feels like a links style course. It has some very deep pot bunkers that can be a challenge to get out of. The course is obviously struggling for membership at the moment so I'd encourage everyone to get out & play this course to help it along. It'd be a shame to lose a course like this one. I paid $18 for 9 holes incl pull buggy.

Queenscliff golf course is situated on Swan Island, a large sand island, making it one of the most isolated and serene golf courses in Victoria. Being invisible from the mainland, most visitors are pleasantly suprised by what they see on driving over the bridge and past the army security gates. Queenscliff Golf Club welcomes all visitors and green fee players who can usually find a spot on the tee every day. The course is playable every day due to the excellent drainage. The large flat greens are almost faultless and all good putters will enjoy seeing well hit putts hold their line and speed. The fairways vary with half already converted to santa ana couch and the rest a mixture of different grasses planted over the history of the club. Queenscliff may appear short compared to new courses but thick tea tree and scrub will keep players of all levels honest. Queenscliff is a well kept and hidden secret.
