Great value course and there are a couple of testing holes to
challenge. Some shots that stray may be result in a new ball but

Played on Thurs 4 Jan 07.
Smithton GC is a standard Tassie 9-hole country course (every
town in the state seems to have one) in the NW of the state. The
course is a couple of minutes out of town (to the west). Green
fees $12. Par 71 (35-36) but ACR 70.

ranging from 300-380m and lonely 460m Par 5 6th/15th with dam
right on fairway bend, and another short left of green.
Greens are a little dead along the edges and are painfully slow,
teebeds were relatively flat and fairways were a little thin.
