Rated as one of the world’s best resort courses, the 18 hole international standard championship golf course was designed by renowned golf architect Peter Thomson, and contains the usual combination of 6 par 3, 6 par 4 and 6 par 5 holes all within two quite different 9’s with the bordering Coral Sea and the panoramic mountain backdrop providing the only distractions to a memorable round. The course also has practice putting green and bunkers, and professional golf instructors, and any equipment that you need is available for sale or hire from the Pro Shop. Great course in great condition. Difficult from the back tees however less skilled golfers can still enjoy this quality course off the whites. Could do with some more sand refill stations however otherwise difficult to fault. Friendly reception from the bag drop through to the bar staff. Highly recommended.

Played here on 1 July 2017. The layout is very good, the first 9 being more challenging although having a tree in the middle of a fairway is a bit strange and old fashioned. The greens had been sanded on the front 9 and made them very slow but the back 9 had not been sanded and were a similar speed. The biggest issue is grass coverage on the faiways ... very patchy. Sure, there's plenty of money being spent cleaning up water holes but they could/should play second fiddle to fairway coverage. After all it matters little if your ball is in the drink but finishing on a bare patch in the fairway is a big deal when paying $85. Paradise Palms is a better vexperience right now and the third of the triumvirate up here, Palmer, is a stupid price.

Great layout.   The condition has always let it down, but now that has improved and I'm finding it more enjoyable to play than the sea temple and paradise palms!

Played this course for the first time today. I had heard that it wasn't as good as other local courses, so expectations weren't that high. I was pleasantly surprised. Only one fairway was a bit patchy & bunkers were more dirt than sand, but it was a real pleasure to play. A very interesting course, with plenty to think about, including keeping away from the crocodiles! I rate this behind Paradise Palms & Palmer Sea Reef, but only just! Staff were very helpful & genuine in their friendly service.

I played a round during the middle of the day during school holidays. There were a few others who had teed off before but it felt like I had the course to myself. The layout is fantastic. The tees and fairways are relatively well maintained however sadly the greens are a bit of a let down. Still playable but they really need an overhaul. The buggies are also dated for a top notch course. Apparently it has recently been purchased and the new owner is looking to pump some much needed money back into the course.

Better of the 2 layouts in Port Douglas however condition is inferior to that of Sea Temple. $50 (inclusive of a cart) is fair and reasonable and I hope they can pour some money back into this place so it can once again get back to where it once was. Still a lovely place however, just don't come here with big expectations.
