Millaa Millaa is a short but interesting layout on naturally undulating topography in a rural setting with abundant wildlife, including the very rare Lumholtz tree kangaroo.

Surrounded by rainforest and guarded in the distance by Qld’s two highest mountains.

Club competitions are held on Sundays and visitors are most welcome to compete. This a small but progreesive club entirely voluntary run.

Played here on the Queen's Birthday long weekend and thoroughly enjoyed it. Millaa Millaa recieves high annual rainfall which keeps the fairways and rough quite lush and green which gives you a playable lie wherever you end up! Most fairways are only lined by small trees so a miscued shot won't be punished to harshly. However, the par 4 6/15th rewards a big drive but has trees positioned in a manner where inaccuracy will result in a blind shot to the green. It's hard to criticise this course too much however some of the greens were a little unconditioned and maybe a few more bunkers would be more of a challenge. The smallish greens however, run true and are quite spongey and hold most approach shots fairly well. With a few shortish par 4's, hilly fairways with blind tee shots and an open layed out course, it gives golfers of all levels a chance to have a good round and enjoy the lovely surrounds of the tablelends. For $10 Millaa Millaa would arguably be the best value public course in the far north and rivals any other country course in the area.

Played here on a damp day.... Only 2 playing thank goodness one of us is a pome! Nice undulating generous fairways, that filter down towards tricky  tight greens, keep it straight and don't go long! Lots of punishment awaits a wild overshot approach. There was a popular ladies clinic on, trying to get more members to join.... I hope they do it's a great course.

I thoroughly agree with Wedgeman! We played the course yestrerday after 3 days of waiting for the rain to dissapear. Great course for the average weekend player or low handicapper. Greens were true but a bit slower than they looked. The blind tee shots made things interesting as did the one water hazard. Well done to the volunteers!

A great course, challenging and interesting. My wife and I played here twice last week, whilst on a holiday from China. We had the course to our selves on both occasions. I agree with Doublek, I’ll buy QTIP a round of gold at Paradise Palms!!

Hi, Don’t know what planet Q- tip was on when he played Millaa Millaa, although he played just after cyclone Larry ripped the place apart. funny he didn’t play the 16th hole at 207 mtrs which is FNQ’s longest par 3. Lack of bunkers is due to high rainfall recieved and cost of repairs after wash outs.If he can par the course while not using a motorised cart I’ll buy him a drink. this is a cute interesting course.

Measures 2554m Par 35 with 2 Par 3s ranging from 125-135m, 6 Par 4s ranging from 235-395m and the 448m Par 5 4th/13th dogleg left with island tee.

Highlights include 306m Par 4 3rd with creek in front of green and right of green with a large gully running down to the green from the fairway. Greens are slow and bumpy but dont expect a resort style course. Pleasant drive from Cairns in the hinterland.

Played here 28/7/06 and paid $10 green fees to an honesty box system in place. Locals are friendly but course is for socials and beginners
