After a couple of years I revisited expecting an improved course after better seasons but, strangely, there seemed to be no improvement at all. Greens are still a mixed bag, fairways are inconsistent and the rough is still bare dirt with minimal coverage. Mondays and Fridays are $15 green fees and that is a little high in my opinion. Thirty minutes up the road is Atherton, a better bang for your buck.

First visit to Mareeba for several years. Found course in its usual good condition. Quite a few players about however got round in good time. A little more signage would help. Cost was too high given the location and limited pro shop facilities.

What great value!!! We played on a monday and the cost is $15.00 for as many holes as you want. The fairways are wide and tree lined and all the greens were fast and true. Not too many bunkers or hazards so the average hacker such as myself is able to have a pleasant round without too many issues. The kangaroos abound and need to be avoided if possible. All in all agreat course that stands up well against some of the more fancied and expensive ones in the area. Well worth a visit!

Nice to play. I especially enjoined the kangaroos on the course. Greenfee is quite moderate.

This a fairly short, but reasonable country course. The Par is 72 for both Men and Women, however the course ratings are 70 for Men and 69 for Women. The fairways are watered and so are in good condition. The greens are quite small but very firm and fast. Most greens are raised and a little saucer-like in shape so it is easy to have a good approach roll off the green sideways and leave you an almost impossible chip. To be fair we played on a Friday and they were rolling the greens that morning, so they were as quick and firm as they could be. The green fees are normally $29 for 18 holes, but on Mondays and Fridays you can play for $10. It is quite flat and so an easy walk. Not much in the way of bunkering and a couple of water hazards, but nothing to scare you. It is good value for money, especially on Mondays and Fridays and is well worth a game if you are in the area. It certainly is much greener and flatter than Atherton, nearby.

At 5977m, Mareeba's par 72 course is your typical flat, country style layout. Most fairways are fairly open, however there are many dogleg holes and a few where an accurate drive is a must. There is water in play on the 3rd, 4th and 15th and bunkers are pretty scarce. Infact, all of the two bunkers at Mareeba are confided to the 18th green! This elevated green looks very daunting from the clubhouse, but the rest are all fairly straight forward. The greens were consistent but very hard so the chip and run option might suit best. Irrigation helps keep the fairways green during the dry season but is more pleasing in appearance in and after the wet. Overall the course was good value but just lacked that extra attention to detail you might find 20 minutes down the road...
