Great Golf Course ! Awesome layout and very enjoyable all round. I would ignore the review seen previously, the guy obviously has issues because this track was a pleasure!I found the members to be fantastic and the proshop is one of the best stocked that I have seen. I greatly recommend this track !!

Not worth playing or joining. There is no club house its been closed, the course is not maintained fairways are patchy and just off the fairway grass at most times are up at your knees, if you hit just off the fairway you have a 50% chance of finding your ball also on the edge of the greens. Greens are all different conditions and poor most have weeds. Reminds me of a back yard course that you would make on your property. For around $800 membership it is not worth the money, there is a handful of members that are friendly and the rest are not, it is very hard to join there groups to play as they do not include new members and most are two faced pro shop is great as long as you spend money you will be treated well. Assistant pro is always friendly

Gympie Pines Golf Course possesses some really great golfing qualities. The course is naturally undulating which makes each hole interesting and gives you a solid workout if you choose to walk the par 70 course. Bunkers are found around every green and in some cases can be quite imposing. With plenty of recent rain, the course gives you a great surface to pitch your irons and sink those rare birdie putts. However, the big critisism of this course is the lack of signage and information. Without being a local it isn't easy at times to find the next tee. The 10th especially was hard to find, tucked away behind the clubhouse carpark...Distance markers are also a concern. These markers are only a foot or so high, on one side of the fairway and coloured in a manner that blends into the grass and trees! When the distances of par 3s on the tee signage doesn't match up with the scorecard, it does leave you a little confused... All in all, the course looks great and gives golfers of all levels a chance to enjoy a round and be challenged by the different characteristics of all 18 holes.
