The Dalby Golf Club is classed as one of the better golf course west of the great divide. The course has 18 fully irrigated holes with grass greens that assures, even in times of serious drought, the course can continue to cater for golfers of all abilities. Whilst not a difficult layout, a recently completed tree planting program ensures that in years to come, the course will become more challenging.

The licenced club contains poker machine facilities as well as facilities to cater for any sort of functions. Meals are provided on Friday nights for members and bona-fide visitors alike. Contact club manager Warren Denman – bookings are essential.

The pro shop has been capably managed for a number of years now by our resident professional Paul Cook. The Pro Shop stocks a full array of the latest golfing equipment and orders can be placed by contacting Paul at the shop. Lessons are available via appointment. Juniors and other youngsters wanting to take up the game are being catered for with the Eagle Boys Pizza Saturday morning competitions and lessons.

There is a good mix of holes at Dalby's flat par 72 layout along with wide fairways and minimal bunkering. There are a few shorter par 4s around the 300m mark including the 4th with OOB down the right side of the fairway and couple of longer ones around 400m. The 13th (index 1) measures 411m and has a very narrow fairway at the landing area with the internal practice range down the right hand side. The par 5s on the front are reachable but on the back they both sit around 500m and have OOB in play. The most picturesque hole is probably the 141m par 3 3rd with Myall Creek and a tall gum to navigate en route to the green. Dalby is the only 18 hole grass green course in the Western Downs and $26 a round makes it a good option for a hit when visiting this fertile farming region.

Well maintained course, flat and easy to play. Greens are in excellent conditions although I wish they could be faster. Nice practice facilities. If you are in the area, it's worthy to play it.

Returned and played Thursdays with a very social, Social Club. Greens now fast and true. New driving range being built. Thanks for two great days fellas. A good score always helps! The Relic.

Not too demanding, well maintained but subject to extremes of weather. Easily flooded in the wet and hard as nails in the dry. Usually preferred lie on the fairways, we caught the greens after maintenance but I understand they're usually pretty slick. A course straight up and down can be an advantage for wayward drives but tree coverage negates this to some extent. Having O.O.B. at one time between two holes is a trap for new comers. Buggies available, pro shop and friendly club. Not a "must come back" course but neither is it a "why am I here." The Relic.

A very interesting little country course. Well maintained considering the extreme weather conditions experienced in the area. Fairways although a little dry offer good grass coverage. If you hit it through the fairway though the ground in the rough is very dusty, it is close to playing similar to a grass covered fairway bunker. The layout is rather mundane with the majority of holes being straight up and down. With a bit of money and some relief from the weather it has the potential to be a rather good course. The course is by no means long and if you hit a good tee shot and are unable to find your ball add an extra 30m on to your search area as with the dry conditions the ball tends to bounce and run further than expected.
