The Pines is a private 18-hole championship golf course. As Australia’s only Arnold Palmer signature course, The Pines is revered as one of Australia’s best and most challenging courses with an AGU rating of 76.

Designed around 101 hectares of established pine forest The Pines features corridor approaches to several holes and 14 of the holes are contoured around stunning man-made lake. The 13th hole of the 72 par course features one of the most difficult holes in the country, and is often a source of frustration and triumph for players.

Finishing the round with a par on the par 4 18th hole is considered an achievement by many after negotiating the water hazard guarding the entire left side of the hole while avoiding the pine trees awaiting anything drifting to the right.

Reserved exclusively for members and their guests, and those staying at the nearby Hyatt Regency Sanctuary Cove, The Pines presents a world class golfing experience.

The new Palms Golf Course at Sanctuary Cove has returned more challenging and magnificent than ever. Strategic plays are what will win you the game, with the course surrounded by numerous bunkers and pristine lakes. The new Palms bears little resemblance to its old self with a lot of variety to keep it interesting and great fun to play.

The Palms Golf Course has recently undergone an $8.8 million reconstruction and was redesigned by renowned golf course architect Ross Watson. After its reopening in April 2011, The Palms is considered a championship course rivalling some of the best golf courses in Australia. It has a total length of 5904 metres off the championship tees, and has numerous water features and hazards. Tee placements have been designed to suit
a variety of playing conditions and a diverse range of players. Nestled within century old Cabbage Palms, The Palms Golf Course is a return to the traditions of the game, with
distinctive holes, deep greenside bunkers and boldly contoured greens requiring creative shot making.

The Palms is designed to challenge players of all abilities.

Played on 7 February 2018.

A good price for two in a cart.

Good reception at the club and a reasonably priced lunch before playing.

The course was in ok condition. Some areas of poor fairway but generally ok. Greens suffered from lots of pitch marks.

Worst aspect was that some of the holes had not been moved for some time and as a consequence were in poor conditions.

Cart was good although satnav was frustrating. You have watch the fly through before you can find out how far it is to a bunker.

Will play again.

Enjoyed the layout and green undulations, far better test than the typical flat retiree tracks on the GC. Really a picturesque sight on a Sunday arvo. The greens and surrounding aprons were bumpy, inconsistent and need a lot of work. Bunkers hadn't been raked by course staff, only by previous players. Judging by the amount of roo and duck poo, they don't do much over the weekends. I'd rather play Hope Island or RACV for the $$.

Course looked tired and no consistency on and around the greens with the holes looking very poor

Good layout and well maintained in general. Greens are tough (fast and very undulating, so hard to read) and some tricky areas in and around them if you miss!

Buggies are good with the GPS and group timing was quite well managed so there was no hold up.

Overall, challenging but enjoyable and quite good value.

The course is good condition and proved challenging, would like to play again.  Would have been good to understand that the 9th hole on the Palms doesn't come back into club house.
