Gold Coast
Lakelands Golf Club
18 Holes
PAR 72
6489 M

Situated in the heart of Queensland’s Gold Coast, The Lakelands Golf Club was Jack Nickalus’ first signature designed course in Australia.

The highly regarded publication, the Australian Golf Course Guide, and its judging panel have voted the course as the best conditioned Australian public access course in four of the last five years.

Multiple tee positions makes this course user friendly and yet challenging, whatever the standard of golf you play. Nicklaus has used bunkering extensively in his strategic design and water features on many of the course’s 18 holes.

There is plenty of room for error however, especially from the tee, and as is typical of Nicklaus’ design work, much of the intrigue and strategy comes in the approach to each green.

Neat dress code is required with no denim or metal spikes permitted.

Full locker room facilities available. Limited individual and corporate memberships available.

Slowest greens on the Gold Coast and staff to busy on their mobile phones to care about their job. Was disappointed with course condition and poor staff attitudes. For the money they charged us would prefer other courses in the region

Impeccable golf course & overall experience. Absolutely loved it. A must play for anyone visiting the Gold Coast. Played here on 14/2/17 and course was in fantastic condition, so to be frank I find WH's (the previous review) comments & rating perplexing. All four of us are A-grade golfers & thought the place was fantastic.

Dissapointed as I hadn't played there for a few years. Course seems to be deteriorating and bar/food availability is limited. Beware of GUR (some areas quiet big) on some greens which are not marked as GUR. No memberships after June 30 so I expect the conditions to continue to worsen. Will visit other better value courses when I next visit QLD.

Having been a member for a year now I can say the course is in exceptional condition year round, probably the best condition on the coast. The design is not particularly interesting. It is nowhere near worth the price, for membership or casual.
