You'll be captivated by Gainsborough Greens unique Australian charm.

Gainsborough Greens was opened in 1990 and nestles among 230 hectares of unspoiled natural beauty. The 18-hole par 72 course was designed and constructed by Fred Bolton, and measures 6,069 meters. There are 54 bunkers, 7 lakes, 22 water hazards and 10,000 native trees on the course. Gainsborough Greens has hosted two Queensland PGA tournaments and one Queensland Open.

We have a fleet of 70 new Electric Golf Carts all fitted with eskies and GPS that will not only tell you exactly how far from the green you are but also lets you score your round. However if you like the exercise, walking is more than welcome.

Moving into a brand new clubhouse in February 2018, it boasts a number of big screen TV’s located out on the deck so you can watch your favourite sport whilst having a drink after your game, or just admire the 200 degree view of the golf course. With a comprehensively stocked Golf Shop, we have an extensive range of clothing, logo souvenirs, as well as leading brand name golf clubs, grips and accessories. Both Men’s and Ladies Rental Club’s are available with graphite and steel shafts. Golf Coaching is available at Gainsborough Greens, as well as a full Driving Range, Putting Green and Chipping Green with bunkers.

Course was good, carts are cool with GPS giving distance to pin etc, but was SUPER slow. At every tee there were 1-2 groups lined up to hit off before us, and 1-2 behind us (Ie. 5 groups lined up at some tees.)

Was over 5.5 hours for a round.

Fun course to play with your mates. Unfortunately hindered by slow play 44mins behind pace to be exact Marshall wasn’t seen untill the back 9 when most groups finished. Overall tho good fun

Played Friday 03/05/19, two ball, in mist and rain. Very quiet. A good layout for all abilities, mostly lush, well groomed and good attention to details throughout. Some tees need work, most fairways smooth, greens in good condition. Some bunkers were GUR, very understandable given the rain. Rough a reasonable length.  And, really, for the ISG price; walking OR riding is tremendous value. A good course for a shake out round.

Played at GG last Saturday, and despite heavy rain and late finish, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The course had heaps of water laying around and even many of the greens were quite waterlogged, but you can still see the potential and obvious results of recent improvements. Very challenging for the average social player but great value for money. The Pro-shop and restaurant staff are all very helpful and friendly. Excellent food and facilities on site. Will definitely be back .

First time I played this course. It is a nice laid out course, however the greens are terrible, with fairways not much better.

Quality of the greens makes it almost useless to put once you are on the green. Could be a great course if maintenance of the course was stepped up.

If you haven't had the chance to play Gainsborough recently, I would highly recommend that you give it a go. It has an impressive Clubhouse with some great lunch options. The driving range is open for business and the course is looking great. I love the GPS technology fitted in each buggy. The overall service was great and will definitely be back!!
