Undulating with a wide trench running through a number of holes which makes it a good workout if walking. Clubhouse is well patronised and visitors welcomed. Most fairways are wide enough so a sprayed tee shot isn't a problem. Good pricing.
Murgon’s undulating 9 hole course sits beside the Bunya Highway on the western edge of town. The real features at Murgon are the large greens with superb surfaces surrounded by aggressive contours and the great course maintenance which rivals Kingaroy down the road. There are no water hazards out there but 12 greenside bunkers can punish inaccurate approaches. OOB looms on a few holes but generally wide fairways will encourage driver off most tees. Notable holes include the par 3 4th/13th with imposing gum tree branches hanging over the tee boxes, the par 3 8th/17th with the most elevated tee shot and a bunker guarding a large shapely green and the par 4 9th/18th with a sloping fairway and the most elevated green with two shapely bunkers testing your final approach. There are numerous golfing options in the South Burnett Region and Murgon is surely the finest 9 hole track out here with superb playing surfaces and a layout that is suited for golfers of all abilities. $20 for 18 holes.
