Great course. In lovely condition with an interesting (and challenging) layout. Played with a couple of friendly & welcoming locals in the member's comp. Keen to go back for another go as I played awful - but still had fun. Easily one of the best regional courses in Queensland.

WOW this course is amazing and so well kept it has left a lasting impression. The course is a little tricky to get your head around at first by the 18th that was a distance memory. Located just of the Bruce Hwy and in the city of Maryborough you will not regret playing here.

What a course! This track has been deigned by the same guy who put his mark on Royal Melbourne and it shows. The locals are spoilt with a great course that has aspects to challenge every facet of your game. I have travelled 1300 km to play this course and it was worth it! The only thing I can fault of Maryborough is that it's not closer to home. Fantastic! If you live nearby make the effort it's definitely worth a day trip to play.

This is a good members course with reticulated fairways and good greens. The layout is interesting with a reasonable amount of water in play. The bunkering is a feature and frame the greens fantatically well. The bunkers arte also in good condition. It is a slightly undulating course, but an easy walk. One feature of the course is that, apart from the 16th you can't really see any of the greens from the tees, apart from the par 3s. The mix of par 3s is good with 5 of them ranging from 185 metres to the 9th at 105 metres across water. The one criticism is that there are a few holes where the next tee is past one or two other tee blocks (eg 11 to 12 and 12 to 13), but it is well signposted. We played in the Wednesday comp and were made to feel very welcome. The green fees, including comp fees and pro pin was $27 for Men and $25 for women, so very reasonable. We still got around in under 4 hours, so on a quiet non comp day you could scoot around much quicker. Definitely worth playing if you are in the region.

This is a very good member's country course. Comparable to Hervey Bay up the road. The course was in good condition a month or so ago when I played here, after recent heavy rain. The staff in the pro shop were quite friendly and accomodating. Well worth a hit if you're in the area.

Maryborough would have to rate as one of the top regional public courses in southern Queensland. Most fairways demand accuracy and throw in several bunkers around every green and you can be punished very quickly. The bunkers at this course are a real feature. Some in particular would have to be close to 2m in depth which is a daunting prospect for most golfers. The course also features some scenic water hazards especially the lake that follows you down the 8th and is in play on the par 3 9th. One of the holes to look out for is the par 3 17th named 'The Wrecker'. At 184m it needs a long iron shot to make the green and anything left leaves you either hitting out of or over the towering sand traps that guard the putting surface. There are challenging aspects on all the 18 holes at Maryborough which keeps it interesting and makes this par 70 course a must play when visiting the region.
