COURSE DETAILS

A very pleasant picturesque course inhabited by many kangaroos which are quite tame and generally unpertubed by caring golfers. The on-course dam is home to much wildlife such as Pelicans, Ducks, Shags and Fish. Also many species of birdlife abound amongst the trees on this delightful golf course.

What a gem. Great little course. Interesting layout - short however quite narrow in places and can be testing. Despite the QLD dry weather, the fairways are in fantastic condition. Greens had recently been cored and sanded however putting was still consistent. Couple of weeks and this will be an absolute cracker to play. Cheap pricing and a friendly reception to boot. Loved it!!

Yeppoon Golf Club is located just out of town on the road to Rockhampton. The fairways are reasonably wide in parts but there are 36 bunkers out there to punish wayward drives and inaccurate approaches to the greens. The par 71 layout isn’t overly long with only one par 4 over 370m and all par 3s playing less than 170m. The toughest hole on the course is the 412m par 4 5th which features a 90 degree left dogleg around a dam and only your best drive will give you a chance at reaching this green in regulation. Other notable holes include the short par 4 7th measuring just 289m with water to carry on your second and the 348m par 4 15th with a seemingly narrow downhill tee shot and an elevated green tucked around to the left with OOB looming down the right hand side. The facilities at Yeppoon are top rate and $27 for a weekday 18 hole round is superb value when you’re a chasing a hit at this popular Southern Great Barrier Reef town.

Top conditioned course, greens are immaculate and were quite quick. Fairways, surrounds and bunkers all good conditions. Off the fairway there are a few rocky patches, and trees are numerous. Not a long course, but very tricky from on and around the greens. When the wind **** the course shows it's teeth. There is OB on 6 holes & 2 more internal OB. Water hazards are in play on at least  7 holes. Very good value for money and usually has a nice sea breeze to keep summer temperatures at an acceptable level.

This is a fairly short course for Men, Par 71, rating 69. Most of the Womens tees are on the same tee block as the men so not quite so short, Par 72, rating 72. The course is a resonable country course, but has too many doglegs on short holes. The fairways were in reasonable condition and the greens were slowish, but rolled well. One tip for putting on this course is that most greens run towards the old railway line, even if it doesn't look like it. The grain also runs that way so you can get quite a variation in putting speeds. We played in the Sunday Comp and it cost us $20 per player, so good value for money. It is an easy course to walk. If you are in the area it is well worth a game. Certainly not in the same class as the resort courses, but enjoyable.

A great value for money golf course with true and challenging greens with some great holes 4th 5th & the 12th, The 9th is a little bit dinky, O.B. inside the course on the left and the tee close to the trees to stop you going for the 230m green. with a nice cool breeze in summer and well watered fairways. this course is a joy to play.

As a first time vistor to Yeppoon, I had no trouble getting a round on this wonderful course. It is set up well, with intelligent use of the land, and each hole is an interesting challenge that rewards smart iron play and not smash and grab golf. The kangaroos are in abundance, and the green fees are good value for this kind of course. Can’t wait to come back.
