Course is in great condition. Greens rolled very nicely and hold approach shots. The change in the course has to be seen to be believed. The Greenstaff have completely lifted the standard of this course as can be seen by the increasing numbers of players on the course. The hills are a workout but a cart if available is recommended.

I felt like I was back in the 1950's when I walked into the very very old club house ... The cost for 4 of us and 2 carts was nearly $200 and for this sort of course, wasnt impressed. We sat down for a cuppa and the old lady stated that we only had the carts for a limited time and shooed us off to play our round. So all-in-all, not a pleasant experience seeing every dollar counts on a golf course like this one. Dont bother with this one as the experience wasnt that good and im sure its the same price for Mackay golf club ...

This course has 16 holes, you play the 1st and 2nd again after the 16th to make 18. We played on a Tuesday and, although it was Ladies day, we had the course to ourselves. The course is very hilly, but is able to be walked. The fairways had plenty of grass, but were not kept well. The greens were bumpy and slow. A number of holes have side hill lies, so keeping the ball straight is difficult. Green fees of $25 are a little high for the quality presented. Other courses in the area (Mackay & Pioneer Valley) are better layouts for similar money.

9 holes? It's got 16 holes. You play the 1st and 2nd again as the 17th & 18th. This is my local course and I'm more than happy with it. Relaxed atmosphere with a nice, hilly course which is well kept. Can get a bit boggy in places with a bit of rain, but otherwise it's fine. Kangaroos hopping/sitting around everywhere. Lacks fairway bunkers which would probably make it a bit less challenging for the experienced golfer, but I like the fact that when I actually hit a fairway (rare) I don't have to worry about bunkers too!

This is a great country course and was in better condition than I expected. It is a 16 hole course with the 1st and 2nd becoming the 17th and 18th. The course has some long holes which challenge you to get on in regulation. A mixture of wide fairways and some tight ones (close to the boundaries). Wallabies share the course. Unfortunately Mackay has been in drought for a while so the fairways were a bit short on the grass side of things however it rained for the 4 days I was in Mackay, so things should be better. The greens are in very good condition. They could introduce more bunkers at driving distances and surrounding the greens, to increase the difficulty of the course.

The price is fantastic too.. Just over $10 for 18 holes.
