What a hole. Fairways are in poor condition. Greens were cored & sanded a week before I played and were terrible. The Dragon at the Pro Shop didn't mention this when I booked - and still charged full green fees. What a rip-off. Avoid this place.

Happen to play after a dry spell and after the greens were just cored but none the less enjoyed the course. Some lovely longer par 3s. The course provided some good run on the few straight shots I had. Lay out I feel is great and offers something for golfers of all skill. The pro shop offered a discounted game because of the condition of the course on the day - which was a nice gesture. Worth a look

Gladstone Golf Club has two distinctly different nines with the front playing quite flat and straight and the back a little undulating and more challenging. Highlights on the front include the right dogleg 282m par 4 4th with a narrow fairway and OOB right and the 300m par 4 9th with water 200m from the tee and four bunkers protecting an elevated green. Police Creek and a couple of streams meander through the back nine creating danger on just about every hole. The three hardest holes on the course are all on the back and include the 189m par 3 11th with an elevated tee, the 397m par 4 16th with an imposing palm tree guarding a large green and the 370m par 4 17th with a narrow tee shot required and a hazard down the right. The par 5 18th is a great finishing hole with a strong right dogleg and a second shot needed to clear water and avoid a fairway bunker that sits 40m below the well elevated final green. The overall presentation at Gladstone is top notch for a regional track with well grassed tee boxes and fairways and finely manicured greens. The course presents plenty of challenges and an interesting layout and a relaxing atmosphere makes a round here a great option when travelling through the Gladstone Region. $32 for 18 holes.

Back in Gladstone so decided to play the course. For my money course has improved with the new bunkering. Nice to finally see the course realising its' potential.

played Gladstone yesterday. What a change from 6 months ago. Greens true and well paced. Fairways green and with good lies, tees divoted and striped. New pond on 9th looks great and adds challenge. New bunkering looks good. Will definetly be back. Talking to club staff they told me there is a new Super at the helm. Please keep doing what you are doing.

WHAT A JOKE $500+ a year for membership and you don’t get any flags on the green after 5pm when the course is open till 6. The staff couldn’t of been any ruder or arrogant when asked about it and our group was sworn at by the staff as they were picking the flags halfway through our round up when we asked them why. We were not told about this when we teed off and when we asked about this they told us we didn’t need them to play. Two of us were members but won’t be for long I WILL NEVER PLAY THERE AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!
