Country style course with some narrow driving holes. Quite short in yardage however plenty of trouble if you err off the tees. Greens are in very good condition. Went round with a mate in a cart. Deal included 2 drinks and 2 sleeves of balls - all for $69 which is an absolute bargain. Friendly Pro Shop and some good specials on clothing. Recommended for a casual hit with mates.

It has been about 12 years since I played Wolston Park and course has definitely improved. Challenging layout and used most clubs in my bag. The greens were the only disappointment really.  Just couldn't get a good roll on any of my putts but overall I enjoyed my round. Good course for a social round.

Sitting next to the Brisbane River and neighbouring Gailes Golf club, Wolston Park's par 67 track winds its way over undulating terrain with wide fairways, a few hazards and some lazy kangaroo mobs enjoying the green pastures. With some short par 4's and a reachable par 5 in two, there are some birdie chances out there but often if you miss the putting surface, numerous bunkers and severe sloping around the greens can make for a tough up and down. Holes of note include the 336m par 4 6th with a downhill tee shot toward a deep gully and a daunting approach back up to an elevated green, the right dogleg par 4 12th with a large bunker guarding an elevated green and the narrow par 4 15th with Woogaroo Creek running down the left from tee to green. The final two holes are the toughest and include the only long par 4's which measure 407m and 367m respectively. The overall presentation at Wolston Park mightn't quite rival Gailes next door but an interesting layout and great green fee specials make this place a great option for your next Sunday round in Brisbane's west. $50 for 18 holes with a cart, balls, beers and a burger! You can't go wrong!

Disregard the negative comments from the post-flood time frame - the course is in great shape, and while not the most challenging course (and a noticeable second placer to Gailes next door) you get a great round of golf here. $44pp including a cart for 18 holes, with 3 golf balls and a drink thrown in (standard clubhouse offer for weekdays - $50 for the same on weekend) is tremendous value for a course so close to everything. Will be back, and regularly.

This a friendly little course where the clubhouse overlooks the river. Only a par 67 but has some holes that can be quite challenging. There are only two par 5's, one of which is a real challenge, but long hitters can easily reached the other in two from the yellow markers offering eagle opportunities. Quite a lot of par 3's but most are no gimmie, and the par 4's offer a challenge with narrow fairways demanding accuracy. Ask to play off the blue markers instead of the yellow. Certainly can't beat the cold beers on the terrace overlooking the river!!
