I've played at the Windaroo Lakes golf course quite a few times. Really great course, only negative is being held up on the 13th hole, searching through the long grass for the ball after an overshot. Noticed a few other players doing this too. Would be so much better if that section of the course was regularly mowed and maintained like the rest of the course. Spent a good 5 minutes searching through the grass with no luck. Hoping there weren't any snakes in there i couldn't see? Ate at the restaurant afterwards, top food, great atmosphere.

I was a member for a year in the mid 2000's before moving interstate. Since then I had only played it once and to be honest it wasn't in particularly good condition. Word of mouth and reviews tended to be pretty negative leading me to believe one of the more under rated layouts had a limited lifespan.

I was however clearly wrong.

I played it last Saturday and was really surprised at the course condition with fairways, greens and, more importantly given their history, bunkers were all superb. It is clear the the club is no longer being run by a property developer, instead golf industry professionals. Other than the course I also noted the bar/restaurant had a newfound professionalism about, it wasn't hard to work out why there was a real atmosphere and the place was busy, a huge improvement from previous offerings. In short it is great to see one of SEQ's best layout's being presented in such fantastic condition, I certainly won't be waiting so long to come back.

Great course. Fairways possibly best you will play. Bunkers have improved considerably over past couple of years. Was member here 5 years ago and left only due to move closer in to CBD. Love coming back here. Staff wonderful. Greens kept beautifully and hard to find a better course for the value. Have played twice in past 10 days. Wonderful course.

Thought the course was in good shape. Greens and Fairways were excellent, some bunkers were hard compacted sand, not much fun, but overall were very happy. Great value at $29:50 with cart. Most enjoyable with no hold ups.

The good things first: helpful staff, challenging course design, good grassed fairways and greens. Signage is poor to non-existent and I gave up looking for the last 3 holes after the 15th, they're out there somewhere but I couldn't find them - there is no map on the scorecard and for a visitor this is not good enough, however it is a private course first. The course is split up around a general traffic roundabout and this can be tricky at times.
