Redland Bay Golf Club
18 Holes
PAR 72
6022 M

Redland Bay Golf Club offers a fantastic challenge to all levels of golfers. The course overlooks the waters of Moreton Bay. The signature hole is Par 5 14th measuring 510m - the tee shot needs to be very accurate, which may leave you a chance to reach the green for your second. The hole runs alongside the Bay with high trees lining the other side of the fairway. The Redland Bay Golf Club has a full Bar and Bistro available during the week and on weekends. Memberships are available and very competitive. Social play is available by making a booking with the proshop.

Decent course however not in the best of nick at present. Fairways don't have much give and there are too many clumps of weeds. Greens okay however pace is inconsistent. Cost $38 a round okay however there are better options available.

Redland Bay Golf Club isn’t the longest par 72 course out there with three reachable par 5s and numerous short par 4s around the 300m mark.  Over 40 bunkers are spread throughout with many shapely greenside sand traps catching inaccuracy around the greens. There are several water hazards but only come into play on a few holes. The muddy mangrove shores of Moreton Bay pose the biggest threat on holes 12 to 15 with the hazard following these holes down the right from tee to green. The 500m 14th (index 1) is probably one of the toughest par 5s in Greater Brisbane with a narrow fairway dotted with bunkers and lined on the right with mangrove swamp and on the left with think woodlands.  Only the two best shots will give you a look at this green in regulation as the fairway bends to the left about 140m from the flag.  If you manage to get on the green in three and make par it’ll be well deserved! Most social golfers will enjoy the openness and flatness of the course with some shorter holes but there are still a few narrow fairways and some danger lurking to challenge the more serious golfer as well.  With low lying scrub bordering the course on three sides it’s often hard to hear any suburban noise and makes it feel like you’re playing somewhere in the country. Along with this peaceful atmosphere, the course is in fine condition and makes for a great golfing option in Brisbane’s Bayside.

Overall we were impressed, well maintained and a good mix of holes. We were hitting off the whites which was the only thing that wasn't maintained, some tees weren't very level. First visit but won't be the last. If you like the tree lined fairways as we do, similar to Coolangatta Tweed, this course is worth a visit. Just some feedback to the pro your tee times off the 10th tee! We and others had quite a wait after the 9th because of a few groups starting on the 10th.

Four of us played Redland Bay yesterday. It was in amazingly good shape after all the rain we have had. Bunkers were out of play, and preferred lie but this had little effect. Several challenging holes, and you get to use most of the clubs in your bag. A good assortment of levels on the greens, and varied flag positions. We will go back, and will recommend RB to friends.
