North Lakes Resort Golf Club is a general access, cart-only resort style club with superior service catering to the golf lover. The Club is welcoming and comfortable, affording the spirit of genuine hospitality of Queensland. It is the first venture in Brisbane for ClubCorp, the largest owner and operator of golf clubs and resorts in the world.

Measuring 6455 metres in length, the 18-hole, par-72 North Lakes golf course has been specifically designed to cater to all levels of golfer, but will provide a stern test for those in a competitive frame of mind. Multiple tees provide golfers of all standards the ability with the chance to enjoy the game at their own level, and still be challenged.

Shaped fairways encourage free play, however strategically placed avenues of native trees, resort style bunkers and water hazards guard the greens. North Lakes Golf Club is truly the first complete premium resort course to open in Brisbane and the first course in Australia to feature TifEagle greens, specially cultivated to promote the truest putting surface.

The only thing wrong with this course is my golf.  Tight course well maintained.

A very very tight course. Given I played Barnbougle the week previous, it felt wrong to be punished for some of the shots played.

Played North Lakes yesterday with a friend and came away very disappointed.  We walked off after the 14th hole as the course was clogged up with a large group in front of us, so much so that we had a group of four ahead of us on the fairway waiting for another group of four to putt out on the green.  We would have walked off a little after four hours with four holes to play.  It doesn't sound too bad but all momentum is completely lost, frustration has set in which affects your game and the overall enjoyment is gone.

For the price I believe it is excessive for the quality of the course. Bunkers are generally poor with hard compacted sand which in turn leaves the greens covered with large clumps of congealed sand.  I had several putts take large skips due to this yesterday.

To top the day off we went into the pro shop to hand back the cart keys and mentioned that the play had been very slow and that a course steward shepherding the play along would have been useful.  The men in the pro shop duly wanted to have an argument that the play duration was acceptable.  Needless to say very poor customer service and won't be rushing back there.
