The official opening of the new three holes has extended the course to 12 holes, and has required a couple of changes to the existing course as well. A new dam has been constructed on the right hand side of the 1st green as well as the 13 hole has been changed to a par 4 of a length of 392 metres. The New Holes include a par 5 of 478 metres, a par 3 of 136 metres and a par 4 for the competition course of 427 metres in length switching to a par 5 for the Social course.

The new holes have added more variety and some new challengers for both the competition player and the social golfer. The new greens are quite big and have been professionally designed by our course designer David Burrup. The new greens boast, the newly introduced to Australia, Tiff Eagle Grass which comes form the same family as the grass on the other greens which is 328 (Tiff Green). The competition course has 13 different tees for the 18 holes while the Social Course has 15 Different tees for the 18 holes.

The proshop has a limited range of equipment including hire clubs, balls, tees, gloves and more. 4 motorised buggies are available.

Weekend play is not available from 11:00am -2:00pm.

Solid country course. Greens are particularly good. Great value (2 players in a cart for $50). Pity it's only 12 holes with 6 played twice. Good place to have a hit with a mate.

Laidley is a reasonably flat par 72 course with tall gums lining the fairways and the picturesque Lake Dyer bordering the first three holes. The course consists of 8 par 4's with only 3 of them below 350m, 5 par 5's and 5 par 3's including the uphill 2nd/14th measuring 183m. The fairways are lush and quite wide so driver is encouraged. The greens are quite large for a country course and most have bunkers protecting the putting surface. The course is well maintained and a keen early tee off is rewarded with some great views of the surrounding district and the lake with the sun rising behind it. The only little disappointment was the dull looking scorecard which is not what you'd expect from such a nice course. However, an interesting and challenging layout, good views and a relaxing country atmosphere makes Laidley Golf Club well worth turning off the Warrego Hwy to have a hit.

The Laidley Golf Course is a Nine Hole Course with four alternate tees for the second nine holes. The current layout is being extended by three holes to make it to a 12 hole course by early in 2003. There will be 15 alternate tees for the 18 holes at this time. The greens are of a very high standard with 328 grass. The fairways are irrigated all year round. The course length will be extended to just over 6000 metres. A very good course layout enhanced by the wonderful views from this course.
