Keperra Golf Club
18 Holes
PAR 72

27 Hole, championship golf course located 15 minutes from the Brisbane CBD

Only 18 minutes and 11 kilometres from the centre of Brisbane, Keperra Country Golf Club is set in a typical Australian rainforest environment. Hundreds of different types of trees and scores of bird species combine to make this course one of the most picturesque in South East Queensland. But Keperra is more than just a marvelous place to commune with nature. Its 27 holes are able to be played in different combinations which provide three distinct courses.

The golfer, whether novice or expert, is offered the chance to really test golfing skills. Natural couch fairways with Bermuda or Tifdwarf greens have been carved out of the natural vegetation and waterways in the area, so that each of the three combinations of course require good length, accuracy and a fine touch on the greens.

Played 19-27 on a Friday - had a poor experience. Subsequently discussed with the club general manager after I left a review on To the clubs credit they were apologetic and recognised where things could improve.

Holes I played weren’t in the best condition due to significant earth works building a new dam. 1-18 look unaffected. Club attitude goes a long way, will play again.

Played in social club comp today. Took 4.5 hours which is about average for Sundays in Brisbane. Greens were recently sanded however we were advised ahead of time and offered a discount by Pro Shop. Rest of course is in good nick however a little hard underneath due to limited recent rain. Staff were friendly and food looked really good quality. All in all a good day out.

Pretty ordinary course. Course layout was undulating but fairways + rough aren't in great condition. Very muddy in most patches.

Played the Northern 19-27 and Western 1-9 at Keperra last week for the first time. There is a distinct difference in quality and style between the two layouts, with the Northern 19-27 being in generally worse condition at the time, whereas the West, although in better nick, runs along the train line which can be pretty distracting. Neither layout was super challenging for a first timer, but there are some difficult approach shots and as with any course, you can easily come unstuck. It has been a very dry winter in South East Qld and it showed at Keperra. Greens were fairly fast and you really had to play to the right areas of most of the fairways or you risked ending up in pretty unforgiving hard and dry turf (or hard and dry aerated mud as I found on the 21st). My one gripe was there was no course map in the buggy or map on the card, and that combined with the Northern 19-27 having no hole maps at some of the tees, made it a bit of a nightmare to set the right shot strategy at times. Obviously not be a problem for regulars, but a pain for visitors and at $70-80 a round (inc cart), I reckon it's unforgivable! I will add that the website has an excellent course summary and flyover, will use that next time. Overall I enjoyed the round and will go back, but might wait until we've had a bit of rain.
