Great country course. A little short (par 68) however despite some recent heavy rain course was in excellent condition. Mixture of hole styles (208m par 3 to finish!) keeps the round interesting. Very friendly welcome. Highly recommended.

I really enjoyed this course. Played early before pennants hit off and walked the course in 2 hours 30 minutes. The greens are consistent and slick. A lot of country courses have similar holes back & forth but some good variety here. $25 for 18 holes and there is a 150 meter range near the car park. Definitely worth a visit!

11 of the 18 holes at Gatton are located on the southern side of Golf Links Drive with some gentle undulation, a few elevated greens and minimal bunkering. The course opens up with two par 5s with the 1st a strong right dogleg and the 2nd measuring almost 500m with OOB left from tee to green. There are a few short par 4s under the 280m mark but each requires good shape and positioning off the tee to avoid an expensive score. The 8th in particular requires a lengthy tee shot to the left half of the fairway with trees and a bunker guarding the majority of the putting surface. Both par 3s on the front have trees to clear with the downhill 180m par 3 7th the biggest challenge with a lone tree sitting 50m from the green. The back nine plays mostly over the road and is flat low lying flood country with water in play on a few holes but mainly down the left side of the 17th fairway. The finishing hole plays back up the hill towards the clubhouse and measures a daunting 208m. The majority of this course is maintained to a fine standard with good lies and consistent roll on the greens. The 4th tee sits beside the entrance path to the clubhouse and is surrounded by neat gardens and paving which gives a resort feel to a country course. Gatton is certainly the top course in the Lockyer Valley and well worth a game just an hour and a bit from Brisbane CBD. $24 for 18 holes.

Played and enjoyed course over 15 years ago. Trying to get a group up there again. Just want to know if course is the same set up after floods and years. 3rd still has the trees in front, 7th had a gum tree in middle of fairway etc etc etc. Any info. greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Def worth the trip out there if you have the opportunity. I recently had a game there and it is a very intersting course, the front nine very undulating, and tricky in places. The back 9 very flat and very easy scoring. Condition at the moment is very good.

Nice little country course. Front nine is much more interesting than the back.
