Measures 2817m Par 36 with two par 3s ranging from 127-199m, five par 4s ranging from 248-415m and two par 5s ranging from 468-471m. Course has 9 tiny and slow tuft grass greens with bumpy fairways which are mostly green but bare in many places. There are no bunkers on the course. The greens on the 1st, 2nd, 4th and 6th holes are not visible from the teeing ground. Most holes use the same teebed with the last 3 holes having separate tee mounds when playing either the front or back nines. Green fees are $10 1st/10th 248m slightly uphill straight hole with teeshot over a crest with homes on the far right. 2nd/11th 311m uphill straight hole with a 200m teeshot required over the crest to view the green. 3rd/12th 415m straight and long Par 4 that plays downhill with a right-sloping fairway. 4th/13th 471m uphill Par 5 with a slight dogleg right with a small pond 100m short left of the green. 5th/14th 290m slight dogleg right which plays uphill from 110m out of the green. 6th/15th 468m slightly downhill Par 5 with a gully 240m off the tee with a small pond 40-80m short right of green. 127m 7th or 144m 16th with a teeshot over a large pond. 288m 8th or 309m 17th with an elevated teeshot over a natural creek 50m from the tee (fast-slowing creek in spring!) with a slight dogleg right. 199m 9th or 155m 18th and this plays downhill with the clubhouse behind the green. Talbingo is 40km (or 25 minutes) south of Tumut along the Snowy Mountains Highway and about 145km (or just under 2 hours) from Cooma. The village is accessed from Murray Jackson Drive which is 3km from the highway junction. The course is accessed from Bridle Street, which is the first left off Murray Jackson Drive. Talbingo is located on the Tumut River, which is dammed both below the town to form Blowering Reservoir (which is inundated by the Jounama Pondage) and above the town to form the Talbingo Reservoir. Talbingo has about 350 people and is located approximately 410m above sea level, whilst the 5th green is the highest point on the course, is approximately 440m above sea level overlooking Jounama Pondage, so yes, it can get quite chilly during the winter months! As you'd expect for a course on the edge of the Snowy Mountains it is a hilly layout with some good views of several mountain ranges over 1000m above sea level visible from the course.

What a great little course, this course is set on the hillside that over looks jounama pond, its a pretty big pond, the course is pretty hilly and there are alot of holes that will test even the best of golfers, just the place to stop and have a rest and a round of golf as you make your way along the snowy highway, best time for a round is from [oct-may] as the rest othe year it gets mighty cold.

Top clubhouse and friendly people.
