Oaklands is long little nine hole course. With flat, wide open fairways and plenty of winter grass this is a relitavely easy challenge. The sand scrapes are hard and quick and most of them consisting of a nice run up to a sudden drop over the back. Holes 1,2,6,7,8,9 have a fence just on the edge of the fairway to the left. The 1st, 315 meter par 4: shortest par 4 on the golf club. Dead straight with a wide fairway and a fence on the left hand edge of the fairway. an nice sloped green should leave an easy approach shot. 2nd hole, 349 meter dog leg right par 4. About 180 metres to the dog leg here with a fence along your left hand side and lots of trees on your right hand side. Near the green is a fence about 15 metres over the back. Do not go long. 3rd hole, 499 meter par 5. The shortest par 5 on the course. A dog leg right going back towards a club house. Green is surrounded be trees and is again nicely sloped for a run up approach shot. 4th hole, Dead straight 203 meter par 3. You get a lot of run on this hole, you only need to hit a 180 meter club to mp run up onto the green. Relatively hard hole, won nearest the pin being 20 foot away. Anything near the green accounts for an easy chip and 1 putt. The 5th, 511 metre par 5. The longest hole on the course, and the last hole without the disastrous fence on the left. A dogleg left here about 160 metres from the green. If your game enough to hit over trees, a shortcut can be found playing the adjacent 3rd fairway on your left hand side. 6th hole, 355 metre par 4. Dead straight with trees running up both sides of the fairway and that fence on the left. Don't go long otherwise your out of bounds again over the fence. Probably the nicest fairway on the course along with the 8th. 7th hole, A short 125 metre par 4. A nice little hole here where it's an easy shot into the green. Anywhere near the green leaves a nice little up and down shot. A fence on the left for that disastrous snap hook. 8th hole, 391 metre par 4. The hardest hole on the course with a dog leg right. The safe play is down the left hand side (but not to far for the fence looms) playin left makes the hole 20 metres longer, but don't go right into the trees. Makes the hole tricky to even register points. 9th hole, 345 metre par 4. The finally hole leaves for a tricky finish with a 90 degree dogleg right 180 metres from the tee. Fence Dow the left the whole way along the left fairway. Don't go long if the tee. If you can hit high enough, take the shortcut over the trees on the left for an easy approach shot in. Played here 9/8/15 in the mixed tournament with very friendly staff. Course was in immaculate condition and am defiantly coming back next time

q-tip
There are 9 brown soil greens with wide, dry bumpy short-tree lined fairways with many dirt patches here. Oaklands has around 250 people and the course is accessed from Hunter Street towards the southern side of the village. Oaklands is about 20 minutes east of Berrigan and about 30 minutes north of Corowa and Mulwala. Basic golf facilities here with 3 dogleg holes and mostly straight holes like the 315m straight Par 4 1st. I'd be surprised if they are open during the Spring/Summer months.
