I play here regularly & whilst some of the reviews comment on the speed of play & pitch marks on greens the reality is that things work really well here. Sure you get the occasional slow round but for the most part speed of play is between 4 - 4 ½ hours for the 18 holes. The golf course is open with big greens making it enjoyable for the less skilled golfer but yet the elements, elevation change & challenges on the greens make it a great course for the better player. I have a lot of friends that aren’t golfers so to speak but play occasionally so what I really like about the ridge is that it’s a great golfing center that allows absolutely anybody of any skill level to experience the sport in a friendly environment. Staff are always friendly & helpful and you can buy a beer after your round. Perfect.

Would love to comment on the course in its entirety, but having walked off after 9 holes due to extreme slow play, unfortunately I cannot. We played the back 9 and while there were few stand out holes, the course was in nice condition for a public track. Greens were on the slow side. A lot of elevation changes add an element of challenge on what are otherwise quite short holes. There’s some interesting bunkering which makes you think about shot selection from the tee.   As alluded to previously though, the amount of people on the course made the experience horrible.  The 9 holes took nearly 3 hours. I simply could not recommend the course on these grounds, which is a shame. Can’t say I feel compelled to go back.

Probably the best Council run course I've seen in Sydney. A few decent holes and some variety on the course. Fairways in great shape, greens ok but a bit inconsistent in speed.

Layout interesting. Good bunkers, greens and undulating fairways. Not very challenging and too many pitch marks on greens. Facilities are awful particularly toilets - gross.

Not really sure which way to go on this course... It's a public track in southern Sydney and being new is still in a decent condition. But it's going to take $$$ to keep it that way and that's not normally a strong point for a council owned public track. Started from the 10th tee and found that 9 to be a little too sameish, with only the 10th being in any way memorable. The front nine was much better and had short risk/reward holes, more interesting use of elevation and a much more engaging design. I think the green fee was $35 which seemed fair. I got off early on the day I played and was very lucky: it seemed to be group after group of choppers off the 10th for most of the morning and I reckon rounds would have been pushing well out past 4 or maybe even 5 hours. Too many other decent courses around greater Sydney for me to be going back to this one.
