Took 3hrs and 20mins to get around 9 holes. We ended up walking off as it was not enjoyable to wait 20mins at most tees. Could not get refunded any money for only playing 9 holes becasue they do not do 9 hole rates. Definitely would not recommend to anyone who enjoys a good game of golf

Moore Park is an average parkland-style municipal course. Conditions are quite good considering the amount of traffic, but it's nothing spectacular. The fairways are grassed with some sort of paspalum, which limits the amount of run you can get off the tee. The greens are on the slow side, some complexes are quite undulating while others are very flat. Bunkers are reasonable enough, tees are a bit spotty but adequate. You'll find better value elsewhere but the convenient location might entice you to play a round here. Beware of the price of range balls - $15 for a smallish bucket is extortion in my opinion, but it seems there were plenty of people prepared to pay it.

I visited Moore Park the other day for a social round with a couple of my friends for the first time in awhile. I was really impressed with the operation as a whole, from the welcoming and friendly pro shop staff to the impeccable conditioning of the course. Fairways and tees were in good shape, but the greens were the highlight of the day! The surfaces were very fast and true. This place has really improved since I last visited about 2 years ago. I'm sure it will keep on improving. People here have mentioned pace of play as an issue but my 3 ball got around in 4 hours in the afternoon field. I wouldn't hesitate for a second reccommending Moore Park GC for a social round of golf, and being so close to the city makes it an easily accessible venue.

I played Moore Park golf club last week, and I must say that I was very impressed. It is Arguably Sydney's BUSIEST public access golf course, but the condition of the greens, fairways and tees we're so well maintained considering the amount of play they receive every day. I tee'd off on the 1st hole at approximately 12:30 pm, and the round took 4 and a half hours - not bad considering I walked the course in all it's length and undulation. Played flowed smoothly, I was very rarely waiting for the group in front. A great test of golf for players of all skill levels. I currently play off 3 at Bonnie Doon Golf Club and found the course to be very tricky around the greens with the many slopes and subtle breaks, but also took great notice of the many scoring opportunities that present themselves on many of the holes. The staff were very friendly and well presented, and did everything possible to ensure that I had an enjoyable day at their facility. The Pro shop staff we're very helpful in directing me around the golf course, as well as giving advice on equipment in the shop. I really enjoyed my experience at Moore Park Golf course, and I hope to get back out there in the near future.

GREATLY disappointed. We are tourist and looking for Sydney CBD nearest golf course finally we chose Moore park with expensive price for weekday $47 for 18 holes, $45 cart hire and $45 for full club set (tour special Brand). This did not come with any tees.they do not provide half clubs and ladies clubs. Costumer service was no up to standard, for the price we paid. Course layout of each holes are badly designed. Each course holes are very close together. Please be aware that if hit badly it will affect other people whom aren't playing on the golf course.i.e. on hole 11 there is a practice chipping green on the left. Fairway condition 6/10 green 5/10 with very low speed. If you looking for a great game during your holiday in sydney this golf course is not your answer. Believe me do not waste money and your time. If your really need to play I do recommend to play another golf course or save money is better! Played on 16/08/12

Despite being quite a nice course I will never play Moore Park again. The way the course was packed yeasterday was an absolute disgrace!!! At all holes except one there were at least 2 or 3 groups waiting to tee off on every hole. Three hours to play 9 holes is unacceptable and it was not due to slow play but overcrowding on the course.
