This course is short but on the improve thanks to the new green
staff and management. It is where I learnt how to play golf in
the Fairfield RSL Diggers Junior golf club over 16 years ago. A
great course for beginners to learn the game as there are not may
water hazards and only a handful of bunkers. The hardest holes
are probably the par 4's 2nd, 11th and 14th but the rest of the
holes are short. In fact there are 5 par 4's that are less than
250m long. reasonable value for money but for a bigger test in
the area, you would take Cabramatta every time.
A good course to play with the kids. typical overused public
ex-council run golf course..but improving with new set up.
usually pretty busy so be prepared for a wait at the tee box or
on the course.
This Course has improved so much and is worth another
look.Tees, greens and fairways are in excellent condition a credit
to the greenkeeping staff.Fully stocked pro shop, new drive carts
and Driving Range, also under new management. Watch out for better
things to come.
Reasonably cheap course. Fairways are usually very dry and not
the best going around. Short par 4s which are easily driveable
with a 5 wood, small greens. Lots of trees lining every fairway
– if your ball doesn’t strike one during the round
your either Tiger Woods or working a miracle.
Usually lots of heavy strugglers out there, beware of balls
whistling past your head at all times. Good for a hit with some
mates and some beers, but thats about it.
This G.C. is brilliant for beginners. Layout is easy to follow,
as is the distance. A bit generous to have a Par of 69 as quite a
few Par 4' are attainable from the tee. Front 9 is kept in
good condition. However through saying this. It is a great course
for beginners who are looking for the odd game with mates, or
working on various aspects of their game.
I recently played on this course on a weekend because it is close
to my home and soon rwalised why I havent played there since I
was 14. The greens are full of unrepaired pitch marks, the
fairways are nothing more than a cow paddock and you are
constantly threatened by the stray golf ball whistling by your
ear due to the endless amount of retards that play on this
course. Don't waste your time or money.
$15 on a weekday is definitely one of the cheapest in Sydney. The
fairways are quite worn out but the greens aren't too bad and
fairly consistent. The course is quite forgiving and is fairly
short with several par 4's that can be reached off the tee.
Measuring a 4672 metres Par 69 with an ACR of 67, has four par 3s
ranging from 110-200 metres, a lonely Par 5 measuring 450 metres
and 13 Par 4s ranging from 225-360 metres.
Quite a basic course with thin-covered fairways no different to a
rugby field surface, with tiny elevated greens, with no bunkers
protecting greens, makes driving these par 4 greens quite easy.
No real challenges on the course, but your patience with your own
game. After all the rain over the Sydney basin last week,
youíd think the fairways would be lush, but they were not.
Signature hole: 12th dogleg to the right over a slight gully.
Played here on 28/11/05 and paid $15 for 18 holes (Monday) and
costs $20 for a cart (watch those tree-lined fairways!). Course
could do with a map on the scorecard, as there are no signs such
as ìto 18th tee this wayî. That said the layout is
simple, but boring. Good value, but not really worth it. Pay the
extra money and play at Cabramatta GC.
This course is slowly getting better. Currently under new
management the course is set to change largely. Fairways are good
but greens are lacking a little speed.
this has got to be the worst example of a golf course i have
expierienced i could not even call it a goat track as there is no
grass for goats to graze,
Great Course. Played for the first time last week and will be
