Played Camden Lakeside last week and was very impressed with the general layout & condition. What I didn't like were the handful of greens which have been resdesigned with very severe slopes which - given how smooth & fast the greens were - made for unenjoyable putting where sometimes a 3-putt didn't feel like a failure. Also the enormous tree in the middle of the 18th fairway doesn't have much merit in terms of design & the hole would be much better without it. Generally was a good experience and exceptionally good value I might add.

Played Camden Lakeside again for the first time in a couple of years on the most perfect spring day.

The ownership issues seem to have now been resolved and the course is in excellent condition, especially given the dry conditions.

An absolute bargain at $57 for 18 holes on a Sunday (walking) and had no-one in front and no-one behind which was amazing since I couldn't get onto either course at Riverside Oaks.

  1. Worst pro shop attendant ever. Had a message from Camden for $76 for ppl. Made booking for 8ppl. Attendent wouldn't accept all 8 ppl  on the one message. Explained that crazy golf deals has the same offer. He was still arrogant and told us rudely to purchase that and print them that he won't match it.  Told him to shove it and he lost over $300. Went back to Liverpool amazing course there. Camden looked like lots of renos and pro staff making club loose business. Word of mouth has extended from 8 disgruntled ppl.

A surprisingly good public access golf course with a nice variety of holes on both the front and back sides. Fairly generous fairways and large fairly flat greens makes it possible to score well. Downside is that this course gets extremely busy and would definitely recommend you check with the pro shop before turning up to play.

Played Camden Lakeside today on one of those deals ie 4 players, carts and a drink for $35 a head. Have not played here for many years and was shocked at how benign this course has become. Most of the rough of old has gone and if you can hit straight you will do well. The greens were fairly fast but most putts were pretty straight with hardly any borrow. The guy in the pro-shop was quite brusque but the bar and restaurant staff were very friendly.

Played here yesterday and in general the course was in good condition. However the greens were horrible. The course website did mention they had been coring done but also a lot of clean up to make them playable, sadly this was not the case. All greens were covered in about a 3-5mm crust of sand, in most cases you could not even see the grass. Balls didn't roll across the surface and would go offline due to footprints.
