Was pleasantly surprised by Camden (Studley Park). Went out on a lovely winters morning and had a nice round, not many people on course. Course had some great views and a very Camden feel. The beautiful old house is also a interesting aspect to the course. As a course it has a mixed bag of holes design-wise. The Par 4 13nth is a scenic and challenging hole, however other par 4's are quite weak and featureless. The conditions of the fairways were poor in places, a couple of holes in need of real help. However the greens were excellent, they were a dark green and rolled true, at a medium pace. A little water on the course, and a couple of tough par 3's, but overall the course isn't overly challenging, many of the par 4's just too weak. It is certainly worth a trip, being more than half the price of other courses in the area. Also a huge pro-shop, stocked to the brim. Can get windy.

Played Camden today, and was really disapointed!!!This course was always in good nick years ago, but today it looked like they had sacked the greenkeeper and replaced him with a local dairy farmer!! Grass growing in bunkers, dead patched in greens, rough not mown, grass clippings all over the place, weeds in gardens, grass a foot high growing around trees ect, ect. The club house is really good though, friendly staff, good food.

I think the following review pretty much describes the qualities of Camden the works that are mentioned are now fully grown in and the fairways and greens are in excellent condition In its present condition well worth a visit Camden (Studley Park) GC measures Par 71 5904m from the back tees with 4 Par 3s ranging from 155-226m, 11 Par 4s ranging from 250-395m and 3 Par 5s ranging from 465-525m. Currently a lot of development going on which will make the Par 5 (S-bend fairway) fourth hole even better and Par 5 17th hole even longer. Hazards include sand (on nearly every hole and all Par 5 fairways!), wind and water (4th, 5th, 8th, 10th, 11th, 13th, 14th, 16th). Great challenge of Par 3s with the 226 metre 12th hole being the longest and the 16th being the prettiest with a water clearance very close to the green. Par 4s are all of great length and challenge the golfer to make par. Par 5s, well, are just the best Iíve played on. Fairway bunkers, water, greenside bunkers and all have slight turns that make club selection very much part of the game. Greens are a little slow and undulating that make putts difficult to read. Fairways are trimmed close and are in superb condition!,..rough is a little forgiving but still very challenging. Played here on Thursday 15th December 2005 and paid $18 for a round of 18. Great value and a great course that Iíd be back to play again. If ever in the Nepean region, this course is a must. 4.5 stars

In its current condition Camden is playing beautifully at the moment with good fast rolling greens and fairways in excellent condition The course is undertaking a weed spraying program at present with the objective of developing both Couch fairways and couch rough The 15th fairway is a good example of what has occurred with sections of the fairways with Ky sprayed out and now fully grassed over with couch The comments of the previous reviewer seem very odd and should be taken with a grain of salt Probably the best course in the Macarthur district at the moment Certainly recommend a visit
