Lots of potential with this course. Condition wasn't great when I played it yesterday but it could be a beauty if it had more resources. Plenty of undulation & stunning natural bushland surrounding the holes.

I liked this course. Challenging in places? Yes. A bit rough in one or two places on the fairways but overall it is a lovely scenic course with outstanding views over bushlands and Jervis Bay. There are some environmental protected areas and around these the course teems with wildlife which adds to the experience. The greens were unpredictably fast which soon makes one concentrate on putting. Not many bunkers but the one to the right of the 9th saved an otherwise certain "out of bounds". There are a couple of interesting shots across some frog ponds that proved a bit of a challenge in the head wind We noticed plenty of carts available for hire but like me others enjoyed the walk. A friendly atmosphere on the course and in the 19th.

I played there about a week ago. A fantastic challenging course I must say. Plenty of dog legs to make you re-think your driver! Fairways must be hit if you don't want to find yourself playing from the wood work. Greens are quick, deceptive and will challenge some of the best. The golf shop attendant, Justin, was a top fella, very friendly and informative who offers great prices for lessons. The service at the 19th hole was splendid, a young fello by the name of Mitch, his service was exceptional.

If you were to go to the dictionary and look up 'Goat Track', you'd find a picture of Vincentia Golf Course; and just calling this a golf course is a stretch. It's more like a paddock on the top of a hill with a few greens placed randomly. I suppose if you were absolutely desperate you'd play it. I'd rather travel half an hour further south to play Mollymook or half an hour north to play Nowra; both infinitely better than Vincentia. The joke is they have 'protected areas' for bush regeneration! How about putting some grass on the fairways? Honestly, save your money and go and have a nice meal at the Huskisson Pub instead.

Played this thirteen hole course on the 09/07/2013 and goat track comes to mind, yet I can see the potential if a bit of money was spent on improvements. The fairways are a combination of kikuya, couch and weeds and many areas were bare and other areas were a boggy mess. It's not fun when you have to use a ball retriever to remove your ball from a bog in the middle of the fairway. It's a hilly course and the lower portions of the course are most affected by water on the fairways. Drainage work appears to be underway to rectify some of the problems. Most of the The greens were extremely poor, bare in patches, bumpy with fairway grass encroaching into the greens. The 8th green was out of play and a poor effort had been made to mow a section of the fairway into a temporary green. They didn't even choose a reasonably flat area of the fairway. It gets confusing to find your way around the course with no map on the score card and no map of each hole at the tees (bit of guess work was required). Out of bounds, hazards and protected bushland areas that you are not permitted to enter abound and it got confusing trying to work out the nature of the area you were in with so many different pegs. It's a long walk from the 8th green to the 9th tee, with the 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th being newer holes on the highest area of the course. These newer holes have the best greens on the course and a further five holes are planned for this area, which would be nice so you don't have to replay other holes to play 18. The course has a great outlook with views of Jervis Bay, but it's a shame the club house doesn't have views and doesn't take into account the location. The pick of the holes for me were the par 3 5th, an uphill tee shot across a water hazard to a raised green and the 10th a par 4 dogleg right. Be aware that both sides of the fairways are protected bushland that you can't go into, so if you don't hit straight say goodbye to your ball. Whilst my review sounds negative I would play the course again in drier conditions without boggy fairways, as it is a challenging course that has heaps of potential.
