Wow, what an experience. Coming from a slow course this was incredibly challenging. The pro shop and locals could not have been friendlier to a couple high handicapper tourists. It wasn't until the last tee that a local asked us 'how we went' and that 'off the blue tee it is rated 146'. If you are coming here book a cart, it is designed on the side of the hill and the back 9 could the challenging to walk for some. Greens are the quickest that I have played so far in my short career. Some great views of the ocean.

Played 18 holes in the Monthly Medal comp. Overall the course is well worth playing, with some interesting holes on the front nine. The back 9 is very hilly and slightly loses its appeal. The greens are fast and hard to judge, but consistent and not all over the place like some golf courses. I was lucky to play really well and so I enjoyed the course, however if you were off your game then this course will punish you espcially on the back 9 where the course is up and down. This is a much harder and more interesting course than the nearby Pambula\Merimbula course.

Played the front nine today and was most impressed. Fairways luscious and the largish greens slick and holding. One warning - do not attempt this course without a cart unless you're fitter than me. It's hilly! That said, I reckon it's the pick of the courses in the area. Highlights for me were the 2nd, a par 4 with water at the back and side of the green ready to trap the long ball, the par 5 4th along the beach (reachable in 2 with the right shots),and the par 3 5th which is a 181m water carry - don't worry there's plenty of room for a leftside bailout if you're not game. The 7th is an interesting hole with the slope across the fairway which makes for some innovative shotmaking. The 8th is a straight uphill par 4 which has perhaps the best view of the ocean from the green that I have ever seen on a golf course. Overall, you'd be mad to visit the area and not give this course a go!

Have played this course twice. Both times were in October (2010 & 2011). Will be coming back to play it again this year. I found the course to be challenging yet enjoyable. 5th hole, 180m par 3 over the water is certainly a memorable hole. Greens were testing, many with subtle borrows so that there is rarely a straight putt. An enjoyable challenging course.

Had a hit at this course yesterday after work , I had played this course a fair bit over a decade ago and it was great to come back after so long . although it was raining it was a pleasure to play the type of course you would play over and over and stll love it . I loved the bunker design and the way par 5' s give you a risk reward option with taking on bunkers or risking being in water or tea tree touble with second shots. tee boxes were in great condition . although it rained heavy and i was carrying my clubs very enjoyable

Measures 6018m Par 73 with five par 3s ranging from 153-181m, seven par 4s ranging from 304-377m and six par 5s ranging from 425-470m. The layout is impressive (and probably my favourite on the Sapphire Coast) with the front nine heading towards the ocean, whilst the back nine meanders westwards and is lined by houses on one side for most holes. At Tura Beach you teeoff towards the north, then east, then south, then west. It is not a traditional up-and-back layout. There are hills and gullies to hit over and across with water coming into play on the 2nd, 4th, 5th, 11th, 14th & 18th. Most greens are bunkered with only the 4th, 7th, 12th, 14th and 16th bunkerless greens. The greens were quick and smooth, but not overly fast. The teeboxes were reasonably sized and in fairly good condition - large enough to find a flat lie. The fairways were a little worn out, but given the recent rains and the sloping fairways, it has to collect somewhere which leads to certain areas being quite sloshy. Highlights include: * 474m par 5 4th with the beach OOB on the left, fairway bunkers left and right, water hazard along the right, a bunker in the middle of the fairway about 50m short of the two-tiered bunkerless green * 181m 5th with a bunker back right of green with water from tee to green along the right. As mentioned by others quite a tall ask to reach with a stiff northerly. There is however, a bailout option along the left from tee to green. *368m 7th has a moderate sloping fairway to the left which plays slightly uphill, with a bunker 40m short right. * 11th and 12th have blind teeshots to a crest which falls away to the trees. The 470m 11th has a dam 50m short right of the green with 2 bunkers guarding the front. The par 5s are generally weak in length and challenge. The course has wide fairways which are lined by thick foliage on some holes. The par 4s here are quite a challenge given most are slightly uphill doglegs. Played here 12/08/2010 and paid $33 social green fees. A good layout with fantastic views from the course and its clubhouse. Will be back again on holidays to play here.
