The Cobar Bowling and Golf Club is a modern, much-loved club facility which has provided the people of Cobar, western NSW, with a club and sporting venue for over 70 years.

We have recently undergone a $3.5 million-plus renovation and refit and now provide facilities second-to-none.

We offer a wide range of services and entertainment to the community and visitors at large, and of course, to our patrons in particular.

Besides our two competition class Bowling Greens we have one of the few premium Sandgreen Courses available in NSW, with 18 holes and grass fairways.

Host of the 2015 New South Wales Sandgreen Championships, Cobar Golf Club boasts an interesting par 71 layout with water hazards, doglegs and some of the best fairways you'll find in the north-west of the state. Water is in play on several holes particularly down the right side of the 2nd fairway and across the 336m par 4 13th 190m from the tee. Other notable holes include the 165m par 3 7th with a water course and large tree to navigate over and the 416m par 4 18th which is played after a 200m walk from the 17th green. Cobar is a popular stop for travellers exploring the outback and certainly a great opportunity to have a round at one of the few premium sandgreen tracks in the state. $10 for 18 holes.

Played in the Wednesday comp. Just ten bucks for Eighteen holes. Straight after the rain yet still playable. Plenty of grass so not the run of the usual dirt tracks but pretty good lies in the main. Not much variation , so some long fours and a 210 par three to make up. The scrapes are softer sand but hard underneath. Take a bit to get used to. Fantastic club house and usual friendly mining types. Definitely worth the time. The Relic.
